Try to not let the smell put you off buying this product as it has so many benefits.Having used neem oil for many years, make no mistake, in it's natural 'virgin' state it has a VERY pungent smell (like fermented onion/garlic in a large quantity). I suspect that most people are able to get used to it; some may just not be able to tolerate it at all. Mix a small amount with a base oil/other compatible essential oils to substantially reduce the smell.Quickly dispatched; well packaged in a sturdy plastic tub (not the one advertised). Advertised as '1 litre' (volume) but be aware that tub states '1 kg' (weight). Arrived in a thick (waxy) fluid state (rather than solid) and has remained that way. Excellent value for this amount of product.Can be used neat, mixed with a base oil/compatible essential oils or water if you want to spray. Reduces blemishes, enhances skin quality and effectively promotes healing. Also good as insect repellent and in treating fungal nails.

Quality product but did not like the smell. Definitely not made from fresh seeds.

Virgin Neem Oil from NaissanceWarned by other reviews I was expecting some olfactory pain, however once you put the stuff on it smells OK and in fact I've come to quite like it. I've tried mixing it with warm water and a small squirt of ecover washing up liquid and a few drops of lavender oil as a dog flea repellant. The mixture is quick and easy to apply with a cheap garden sprayer and the dogs smell lovely (IMHO) when they've dried off. Mixing with oil and applying by hand was no good as the dog doesn't "dry" off. I get the impression it is very effective but not long lasting. I've also used it on a couple of itchy places I had which I don't know the cause of. They've gone. I'll be recommending this to anyone I hear of now who suffers from mystery itching. Buy it - you'll love it.CATERPILLARS - SECRET WEAPONI tried spraying a mixture of neem oil, hot water and Ecover washing up liquid on brassicas with caterpillars on. I was surprised and cheered to note that the caterpillars (cabbage white I think) which got a good dose seemed to die within a minute or two.

Typically the neem oil has a strong, stinky smell. You can barely smell this one, making me concerned about its quality.

Makes dog coats feel soft and really helped get rid of fleas, they hate it!Does smell though but wears off.

It is pure neem oil. It can be drying on skin if used directly. I mix it with other oils/essential oils and use it on my hair/skin before bed. Or if you hate feeling oily (like me), I rub it on before a shower/ bath and wash it off as normal. It will moisturise skin but not make you feel oily.

Can't see that its bug repellant om my tree in the garden. Smells like old garlic and not something you bring in to the bedroom or work.I'll buy soap for the tree, footcream for the old fart feet and enjoy garlic in my food instead.
