City Dweller's Survival Swag!
I am by no means a doomsday prepper. Just an ordinary person doing an ordinary job. However given the dangerous world we are now living in and having had a serious power black out in my home town this winter, I thought it would be sensible to have something with me to have within easy reach for another civil emergency either relatively trival like the power black out caused by a genuine electrical fault or for something more sinister like a terrorist attack. This grab bag is a good start. It is pretty comprehensive and has a lot of things to keep you going for a day or two should it come to that. I would however add a few things, such as waterproof matches, a set of portable two way radios, a more comprehensive first aid kit, a tent and a portable cooker. Those sort of things. However I can these things as I go along. One thing I did find amusing in a pawky sense/black humour was space for one's iPod and headphones. I did not plan on listening to Coldplay's Fix You whilst the world around you is in chaos!Still I am glad I invested in this. Hopefully I wont have to use it, but would rather have this in my house for those just in case moments. I wont be digging myself an underground bunker anytime soon however! But I do think these days an emergency back pack like this is a necessity and not just an alarmist/paranoid act. In fact I would seriously suggest that the Government did a public information film/advert advising people to be prepared with something like this. Because when the going gets tough, it will be up to you to look after yourself, the Government wont be able to cater for everyone.

Good quality product.
Comprehensive emergency kit in a robust hold-all. Expected a snow shovel to be included but obtained one as an extra at reasonable cost from Amazon.

Very useful basic bag to pick up in an emergency
Very useful basic bag to pick up in an emergency. It has plenty of soare space for other basic needs e.g. medicines, water, drivers licence, ids, shoes/slippers and nightmare. Highly recommend to have packed and ready to go if in a hurry to exit the home

Bought for my brother
I bought this for my brother who isn't necessarily into preparedness. As soon as i did he was happy to have it and takes it in the car everywhere he goes with the kids. Its a good starter pack really designed for 1 person but could easily cover a family of 4 for a 24 hour period. like most survival kits it will need expanding on depending on the personal needs of the owner. Someone who is already into preparedness would probably prefer to make their own pack. But as an off the shelf unit, for someone that doesnt have anything and is starting from scratch. its a very good started unit
