Buffing wheel was delivered promptly and was as advertised, but the shipment did not contain the buffing compound as promised. Email reporting this was sent to the vendor via Amazon and was answered the very next day. The email from the vendor apologized for the mistake and promised to send the buffing compound at once. The buffing compound arrived 9 days later, the average time from the U.S. to Japan via airmail. The various bushings that came with the wheel allowed easy attachment to my 5/8ths arbor. The three star rating for ease of use has to do with the fact that the wheel must not be used when it is rotating towards the user. To use it correctly, the grinding shields on both sides of the wheel must be removed and--unless the grinder is equipped with a reverse switch--must be rotated 180 degrees so that the wheel is spinning away from the user. I am using a very heavy, slow-speed grinder, equipped with a One-Way lathe chisel sharpening set up. To rotate the grinder 180 degrees requires removal of the bolts holding the grinder to the table, rotating the 23 kg. grinder, then re-inserting and tightening the bolts. This puts the On/Off switch in a position that cannot be seen from the back of the machine, so I have to locate it by touch each time. Fortunately, the One-Way sharpening jig, if aligned properly for use at the front of the grinder,, can be used from the rear to hold lathe chisels at the proper angle for stropping. The wheel and stropping compound work very well, but afterwards, to use my CBN grinding wheel, the grinder must be rotated back to the front position. if you have a sharpening "station" at which the grinder is fixed in one position, you may want to make a rotating platform for the grinder to make it easier to rotate.

Almost perfect for knife sharpening, it takes some time to build up a layer on the wheel but makes the knives shine
