Good Microwave
A good brand and reliable, I had the same one and unfortunately after 15 years continuous use the hinges dropped and steam came out. I went for this one same make but has a flatbed instead of a turntable, much easier as you can fit larger plates in. Touch controls and really reliable microwave. Easy to clean and easy to use book with instreuctions and how to cook different things. I love it very reliable

Panasonic NN-SF464MBPQ Flatbed Microwave Oven, 27 Litre 1000w
there is some reviews that say it doesn't heat through or all around ! I don't know what they was doing or if they read the instruction but its a microwave and the bigger the amount you put in the longer you have to heat it, just like another microwave or oven for that matter .now what I like about this Microwave. its big.. no very big our small oval plates didn't fit very well in the old Microwave with a rotating disk. and the large oval plates wouldn't even fit in it. but this 27lite they go in and loads of room :)its powerful 1000w over the 800w make a difference to saving minuets on each warm up.I don't cook in it just use it to heat food up like frozen dinners , rice, beans, scrambled eggs :)for example the lasagne use to take 13mines from frozen now 10mins :)everything I have heated I've made sure its heated through and even this microwave I have had no problems with it and have not had to turn anything around.the bad thing I don't like about it : it is a very big microwave so make sure you have the space to fit it.there is no 1 button use like some . you have to press Power option and then time ( mins / sec ) then start.( some I've used you can just press the start button and its starts with 30sec but not this one )but saying that we have come to live with it easy enoughthe funny thing was looking through the window we have found it looks strange seeing the dish / plate not spinning lolIf you have any doubts don't it is a very good microwave and easy to clean having no turntable helps that too but I would recommend if something may boil over put it on a plate :)

good value for money
Having a flat bed enables larger items to be microwaved. The light is strong enough to see if liquids are boiling or not, as long as the glass door is kept clean. The main drawback is that the timer increments are ten minutes, one minute and ten seconds. although I can press each button multiple times to reach the desired time. I would prefer the addition of a one second button so as to find a more exact timing. If space on the controls is a problem then could the manufacturer replace the ten minute one with a one second button. The only other complaint is that it bleeps to let me know the time is up but does not repeat if I have not opened the door after a certain time (one minute).Overall I find it a very worthwhile purchase.

Refund
Returned the microwave because it had problems like stopping in the middle of heating but I have never been refunded to date.

Great solidly built microwave from a trusted brand
Firstly I would definitely recommend buying from Avensys who have been very helpful during my purchase and have been excellent in their communications. This is a great microwave, visually pleasing, easy to use and solidly built. Our 10 year old one (still going strong - we sold it with our house) was a Panasonic combination oven so we wanted to stay with a flatbed model. We did quite a bit of research before eventually deciding to buy the same brand again - you can tell the quality of Panasonic's build over cheaper models.

An excellent microwave with some quirks that shouldn't be there
Let's start with what's bad: this microwave has some ridiculous design flaws. For example, it forgets the heating time you've set if it's not used for a few minutes (making it impossible, for example, to set it up before going to bed and then just hit the "go" button in the morning, to reduce the beeping noise). Also, one can set the starting time of heating/cooking with the precision of 10 seconds (who needs that kind of precision for this function?!), but only 99min ahead, which most of the times beats the purpose of the timer. If it worked like the clock itself, one could set it up to heat up something when returning home or waking up in the morning. A minor annoyance is also that one gets to select from several predefined powers which do not come in any sensible order (1000W, 270W, 600W, 440W, 250W, 100W), which makes it easier to miss the desired one until you learn how many clicks each of them requires. All that being said, it is still a very good microwave, probably the best I've ever used. It is spacious, it heats the food fairly homogeneously, and the beeper is not very loud (although, it does beep on every click one makes). It is also not too loud when working, it has a nice set of features, and one can quickly learn how to use it.Panasonic would do well to polish out the nonsense details I've listed above, but these are not nearly enough to lose this nice microwave a star.
