PowerBee Saturn Solar Garden Lights:: They actually work!
Really delighted with these lights. I originally ordered 2 of these lights a little over 4 months ago (there is only 1 light in each pack) and was half expecting them to either give out very little light or simply not work at all but I'm happy to say I was wrong - these lights do exactly what you would hope! The lights themselves look very smart and are 40cm high. They consist of a top unit that has the solar panel and an LED underneath. This main unti slots into the milky white housing to let the light out and a metal tube that holds the light above the ground. There's a plastic spike that fits in the bottom of the metal tube that is pushed into the ground. The light works using a light sensor. There's a little plastic tab next to the LED that you have to remove to get them working out of the box. If you cover the solar panel with your hand (or it gets dark outside!) then the light comes on. This is set up well and the light comes on just before dusk and stays on throughout the night. The amount of light is perfect for subtly lighting a garden path without being obtrusive. You wouldn't want to read a book using only this light but for seeing where you're going it's ideal. Our front garden has no street lighting and is pitch black at night but 2 of these solved the issue straight away. I was so impressed I bought 2 more to line the other side of the path - more for asthetics than an actual need for more light. I've since bought another 4 that I use in the back garden and have recommended them to neighbours who asked where I got them, who've done the same. The good stuff. These do not appear to need direct sunlight. I've got some of these right up against a hedge that blocks sunlight and others that are becoming overgrown by plants in the borders but they stay brightly lit until long after I've gone to bed and are still glowing brightly if/when I wake up early. Importantly the lights are evenly bright despite receiving different amounts of light and being ordered at different times. Over the last 4 months they've been outside in some very heavy rain and seen 35 degree sunshine without any issues from any of the 8 lights we now have. They've not seen freezing temperatures yet but have no reason to expect issues. The solar panel itself can be tilted to point towards the sun - although I've not bothered doing that and they've charged fine no matter where I put them even on overcast days. The bad stuff.Very little to be frank. One important thing to note is the plastic and metal itself isn't super strong. I'd suggest pushing the the pole into the ground first and then fitting the solar panel/LED unit on top of that rather than assembling the whole thing and pushing it into the ground. I didn't do this and on one of mine I was trying to push it into hard ground/buried stone and pushed hard. It cracked the plastic where the metal tube attaches to the plastic light body. Totally my fault as I was pushing far too hard on something made of plastic but you can't see the crack on the underside so not much of an issue.I've attched some photos of one of the lights to show how they work plus a couple of pictures of them lighting my front path in the dark to give an idea of light output. Hopefully this is helpful to someone. :-)

Just the best !
Have been struggling to find decent garden lights for years, must have got though 30-40 over the years, all bought either online or locally from garden centres. All have been much the same and never seem to last beyond one possibly two summers.Bought four PowerBee lights just to see how they faired to my other lights. Installed them all at the front of the house with the current solar lights at the back. Now bearing in mind we have a south facing garden but still by 3am one morning, the PowerBees were still shining brightly but the others had long since given up.They are well built and seem as though wil last a lot longer than the conventional garden lights.Love them so much, I bought another ten !

These work well and last!
My wife has a thing for solar lights so we have been through any number of different types over the years. Although these are quite expensive they are the best we have had. They charge well in moderate light, maintain their charge for most of the night, spring to autumn, and last for years. Our only criticism is that sometimes the plastic base is not as strong as it could be and some care is needed in assembly. The customer service from Powerbee is also very good.

They actually do shine for hours!
Over the years, we have had (rather too) many solar garden lights and they all eventually go to wherever deceased lights go (the bin usually). It is currently early February, with some hazy sunshine to charge solar lights, so I was amazed to find that these are still shining away at 7:00 AM! Certainly they seem to shine when other lights we have had have long gone dark. Obviously they need to be positioned facing South where they get sunlight as much as possible, the hinged solar panel is then inclined so as to face the Sun as much as possible, then they just do their own thing. I can't speak for their longevity yet, but certainly in the depths of winter they add some all night glowing cheer to our garden :-)UPDATE: Even in the depths of February, with depressing overcast days, they still light up all night. They are also obviously very waterproof, as they just survived the ravages of storm Dennis.

OMG! UNBELIEVABLE! HOW??
omg! I bought these summer 2016, but just was too lazy to write a review. My God. It is now Jan 2nd 2017 and i can tell you from now, these has survived, rain, hailstones, snow, wind, whatever you can throw at them, and they still LIGHT UP!! Not once have they been off! Even when it hasn't been sunny! I don't understand what kind of miracle workers solar lights these are, BUT ALL I KNOW IS , ALLLLL SOLAR LIGHTS NEED TO BE THIS CAPABLE IN THIS CRAP BRITISH WEATHER!! lol! Unbelievable! I have other solar lights, multi coloured etc and they just do my head in where i end up putting normal batteries in them just to light up! sigh. Or, i go through the extremes to find the sun in awkward positions to light my solar lights before positioning them back in place, LOL!! ORRRRRR i'd buy a rechargeable charger to charge them! The struggle is real! Well honeyyyy...... kiss them struggles goodbye with these! I bought three and they give my front porch a lovely glow over my golden stones ;-) Now i need to check out their website to see what other solar lights they got LOL. I'm all about that hassle free lfe this year!!! LOL! ENJOY! It gives you that sense of security too, which is always an added bonus.
