Jakks Pacific The Little Mermaid Under The Sea Surprise Ariel

We bought this doll for our 4 year old daughter for Christmas, it was her favourite present. It is larger than expected and very durable. I like the dual language button and the light up tail function is great. Ariel has quickly become one of her favourite toys and she even takes her to bed with her! Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase and think it was good value for money :)

Our three year old loves this but she did love The Little Mermaid already so we were on to a winner. She enjoys playing with it in the bath and it seems to work well with regards to the singing and lighting up under water so far. Also the dolls hair hasn't gone fuzzy from getting wet yet and she has been in the water everyday for three weeks so looking positive so far. She is cute and sturdy and a new bathtime favourite.

Sweet doll that my daughter likes a lot. Sings songs (well one, under the sea, but singing quite a chunk of it) and says a few phrases. Can be switched to French language which impresses my 5 year old! The tail glows when this happens. Ariel is quite big and appears quite robust. Can pop the tail (end only) in water to start the talking/singing action. Be are not to put whole tail in though because of the batteries! Overall I'm happy, I purchased in a flash sale at Christmas so feel I got value for money but wouldn't want to pay full price as this doll has a bit of a novelty feel to it and I'm not sure how long daughter will be interested in her!

I was very impressed with it as in all the toy shops it was 40 pounds and i only paid 25 so i was very happy with that. The singing and phrases are very clear. A slight bit of the hair has fallen out but nothing major. Overall very very pleased. My daughter loves it

I bought this item for my Daughter who loves Mermaids and bathtime. This doll is stunning and much larger than expected. Her hair is so nice and doesn't go raggy when wet. The whole tail lights up when she speaks or sings. The only thing I would say negative is that she is supposed to have 15 phrases, ours says about 6 or 7 for some reason. All in all I would by another, very pleased with this doll. xx

My three year old loves The Little Mermaid and her eyes lit up when she got this for her birthday. And for the first couple of weeks she wanted her bath JUST to play with this toy. Initial response was good, too; it seemed well made, the hair suffered a little from looking like cheap hair plugs when wet, but that's the nature of dolls I guess, and the song it plays was a good length though it did get a little repetitive for anyone other than my daughter. After a little while, though, her voice became slow and distorted. I figured it was the demo batteries coming to an end so I replaced them and... she sounded slow and distorted still, and it was getting worse. The lights stopped working and even after trying other sets of batteries nothing would fix it. My daughter still insists on playing with it, I suppose she did lose her voice in the cartoon, otherwise I would return this poorly constructed mess of a toy for a refund.

This doll looks great and although my three year old likes it I don't think I'd recommend it. We can only get her to sing one song - over and over but apparently it has 15 songs and phrases? i just don't think its worth the money. For a bath toy that you are only meant to put the fin in the water?? However it does light up and looks very pretty and we've had no problems with her hair falling out.

This item was great bigger and sturdier than what I thought . My daughter as had this fully submerged in the bath and works fine . The odd time you just have to let it dry out a bit to get sound back after been fully in water . The hair washes well and is very robust my daughter 4 throws it all over and not a scratch on it def recommend for all those mermaid lovers
