Took a minute to get the hang of it but it works perfectly as described. No marring and perfect repeating depth setting.

I received this item through Amazon's Vine Program in exchange for an honest review, whether positive or negative. As a woodworker with over 30 years of experience, I’ve purchased countless countersink and counterbore bits—probably spending hundreds of dollars in total. This particular bit is, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever used. It cuts exceptionally clean and precise holes, and the depth stop functions perfectly, preventing the bit from going too deep while also protecting the work surface from damage. The carbide cutters should make it last for many years to come.Even the uniquely shaped Allen wrench is a nice touch. I’ve never seen a U-shaped Allen wrench before, but it’s brilliant—I'll always be able to identify the correct wrench for these countersinks, even if it gets mixed in with the many others I have.However, the kit could use some improvements. It should have included a carrying case that holds all three bits, instead of a small tube that only fits one bit plus the Allen wrench. I ordered the set with three different sizes, and while it was supposed to come with three additional tapered drill bits, I only received three empty drill bit packages. That’s disappointing, and the reason I’m giving this product four stars instead of five.

These are high quality and work 100 times better than anything I previously owned. There not cheap and you can tell from the first time these are the real deal. Highly recommend

I've broken so many other brands. I saw many of my favorite youtube wood workers using these but no one ever says who made them. Watched soo many videos before finding out. They are not cheap but they are great quality. I worked as a machinist and these are well made. If you have a bit of OCD over your counter sinks being all the same this is so satisfying to use! The thrust bearings in the depth stop let the depth stop, stop rotating the moment it touches the surface so there is not the slightest hint of scratching by the hole. The drills are high speed steel, the counter sink blades are carbide.

The countersink depth and hole depth are both easy to adjust, and yield consistent results. The option of using the tapered bits that come with the set allow screws to grip better, especially in soft wood. Overall, it's a very impressive tool that I wish I had known about years ago.

I use these bits more frequently than I thought I would. I have had these for a while now and am pleased with the sharpness of the carbide tips and they are holding up very well.I would recommend these over the cheap hardware store options.

I have a few Amana tools' and have always been happy with them, and this one is no exception. This is one complete kit, it comes with pretty much everything you need to make some nice countersinks. Least it has has everything and size I would need. Plus, of course the parts and pieces are all well made. Everything comes in it's own pack and is labeled. Tested it will my drill and it cuts fast and well. The picture I show is in inexpensive pine, which is not the best. Just saying you'll get much better and cleaner results with quality materials.The only slight criticism, is the instructions, or lack of. I saw there was a "guide" in the pack, which I thought would be the instructions, only makes sense, no? Oddly, it is just a "guide" to what comes with the kit, the parts and pieces. It's just one piece of paper. Does not tell you anything about using the set properly. Granted it's not difficult to figure out, but being such a big and popular company, I would have expected better, I expected there to be useful instructions. Lack of customer guidance is a bummer.
