Time will tell but as it's made by Ronseal, I'm sure this will provide great protection for our wooden floor in the hallway. Looks a little milky when first applied but dries to a clear, smooth finish that doesn't affect the look of the wood.

Exactly as it's says clear and matt finish. Easy to apply and drys really quick. Used to varnish some headboard made from old pallets and used maybe half off it so covering is good. Had to put two coats but in the end happy with final effect.

I do really like this varnish, but there is no way I can get an even satin effect on my paneled doors. they are painted with black chalk paint, but I didn't think it would stand up to the daily wear and tear in my house, so decided to give them a coat of varnish. But no amount of stirring or cross-brushing gives me an even satin finish. I have bits that look matt in between the satin parts. It's not obvious on the small spindles going down the stairs, but on the doors it's very obvious. So I wouldn't recommend it over a dark colour or a large area. plus it's really hard to varnish a panelled door with this because it starts to dry within minutes, so any overlapping cant be covered over.

250ml was perfect for what I needed for oak bannisters. This was a re coat so did not need a lot. Goes on easily and dries quickly which is good where small children are running about. Seems to be a very thin coat so cannot comment on long term durability. Well priced and very low odour.
