Laser4768 Fuel Tank Sender Wrench 3 Leg 75 - 160mm

this tool is a must if trying to remove fuel pump that mounts in plastic fuel tank held in with plastic lock ring i have used the two leg versions but this is much better dosnt slip as badly as two leg version with three legs and seems to direct the turning input more equally.i found putting the tool on the locking ring squeezing it up to fit then removing it from the locking ring then adjusting the legs of tool in a fraction more tightening the locking ring so when putting tool back on the locking ring pushing it on for tight fit before using i found doing this made it easier to remove and replace locking ring also tipex marks so to line up if no arrows on fuel tank or pump lock ring.

Every fuel pump that I have tried to undo with this item has ended up a failure.It does not grip and is clumsy.I am not a one for giving a bad review, but you are better off using a hammer and long screwdriver, rather than using this tool.Its no good and I have cast it aside with the other alsa ranse items that I have purchased over the years.

this was the best priced extractor tool I could find - it was easily adjsutable and removed the lock ring from the combined pump / filter / sender guage without damage (Renault Megane) - and it refitted the lock ring just as easily. Couldnt have done the job without it - unless maybe I removed the fuel tank

Would not remove bmw sender unit locking ring

The tool did what it needed to a bit expensive for what it was but needs must. The sender unit 'locking ring' is plastic and the 3 metal legs a bit fiddly to secure without slipping, be patient and turn slowly to loosen the ring and to tighten it again.Laser 4768 Fuel Tank Sender Wrench 3 Leg 75 - 160mm
