Strong Handrail
My wife and I bought three of these to put up outside the front door and kitchen door to her very elderly parents house, both are in their late 80s. I installed them to the brickwork alongside each of the doors (Don't screw into the mortar as this will crumble over time). Although they are made of plastic, there are rubberised rings around the bar to aid anyone with their grip. To make it strong there is a thick aluminium tube that runs down the inside of the handrail giving it its strength. There are no fittings that come with the handrail, and I assume this is because the manufacturer has no idea where you are like to locate it, which in my view is fair enough. It comes with an instruction leaflet and recommendations on how to attach it to a wall. In our case, because they were going to be used externally and attached to brick walls I opted to use zinc plated wood screws and Rawlplugs (those are recommended in the leaflet). As you can see from the photos I used an 8mm masonry drill (as stated on the back of the Rawlplug packet) and 5x50mm (No.10x2") screws. You could use screws that will go straight into brickwork, but as I didn't have any experience using them I stuck with screws and plugs. Once each was attached to the wall, it's just a matter of putting the covers into place. I've seen that some other reviewers have had issues putting them on, but with a little gentle persuasion with a flat head screwdriver, the small clip can be eased into place and provide a nice flush finish. They're only made of plastic and the small tabs can be manipulated into place. Once completed I pulled as hard as I could to try to remove them but there was no movement from them at all, and being a big guy over 19 stone that says something. They will certainly hold up to anything my 87yo mother-in-law who weighs next to nothing, can throw at them. All in all a very good handrail and I would highly recommend getting one if you need to. Just put a little thought into how you need to attach it.

Better looking than the competition, very secure.
Good quality, classy looking. Ridged grips along the length. Looks far better than those white NHS-type handles, and gives confidence going up and down door steps. Easy to fit - once you have accurately marked the drilling points. It would be good if a template were provided to stick to the wall. The end caps can be a bit fiddly, but the trick is to slide it up, as flat to the handle as possible, wide end first. It will be a tight fit!! Once you have no or very little gap at the wide end (no more than 1 mm) a sharp strike at the pointy end will click it into place. The ball of your hand should suffice, alternatively a soft-faced hammer.

Good item - but one flaw!
This is a basic item, but seems well made and very strong once you've drilled it in place. Be aware that you need a 7mm drill bit, 4 no.10 x 50mm screws and brown Rawlplugs. The main flaw with it is that once screwed into the surface (brick, for me) and the plastic caps are popped on, you can't take them off - so make very sure that it's solid and stable before you putting the caps on, as if the screws start weakening after a while, it will be impossible to tighten them!

Sturdy and easy to install
This actually has a green ringe to it which earned me brownie points as it matches my parents front door. Really easy to install however would have liked a bit more of a gap between the wall and bar for those with bigger hands. Altogether good value for money

Solid and discrete item.
Well made. Neutral colour means that it's not obviously a disabled accessory. God grip.

Perfect for its job!
Bought this for my mums back door step. Delivery was typical Amazon, so good, packaging was more than adequate. No fixings came with the product which was fine as where you put it and how you are going to use it would mean different fixings. This went onto a brick wall and fixings were at hand. It's quite narrow and managed to fit on the door jamb next to the door (3 inches wide) . There are 2 holes at the top, 2 holes at the bottom for fixing, I used all 4 for strength. Marked the holes on the wall with a marker pen, drilled, plugged then screwed to the bar 8n place. Took about 15 minutes. A cover snaps on to cover the screws. It's made from plastic buts it's very solid, I hung on it (100 kg) and it handles it no problem. There are textured rings on the bar which help grip in the cold and wet. It's long enough to be comfortable to use stepping up and down the back step. All in all its a great buy.

More discreet than the usual white metal ones
Not wanting the highly visible "council provided" white metal hand rail, we ordered one of these and they are both easy to fit and sturdy. In cold weather the plastic is not as cold to the touch as metal ones. We haven't had it long enough to be able to say how long the plastic will last in the sun. Note they are not supplied with screws or wall plugs. One of the reviews mentioned 10mm screws, another mentioned using only 2 screws! The correct size is number 10 x 2" (imperial), or the metric equivalent, round head screws. You need to use four screws, the appropriate wall plugs and correct drill size. A very simple job for anyone with the most basic of DIY skills and a hammer drill. The screws and plugs are stocked by any family run DIY store, not sure about the national chains as we don't use them.
