Finally used these in the surf - Gulf of Mexico.Hooked several pompano, croaker and surf catfish with these rigs - baited with fishbites, gulp sand fleas and cut smelt.Circle hooks work for solid hookups when line is set tight with 2-3oz pyramid - fastmoving fish grab bait and get hooked in the corner - rod hammers down or line goes slack - just grab rod out of holder and start reeling...5 stars from me

These are great fishing rigs! We just used them on our Spring Break for surf fishing and we caught so many fish! Not just Pompano but all different kinds. We were catching so much so often other people surf fishing wanted to know what kind of live bait were we using but we were just using regular frozen bait shrimp. The magic was in these rigs!

Perfect right for Pompano or really it would be a perfect high low rig for fishing anything saltwater. Will purchase again once I use these up.

Also the price is great too, local shops here in Fort Meyers, FL are charging $4-$7 per rig!!Great strong tackle, perfect for Florida pampano.
