Monument 15/22mm Test Plug Set - MON1368U

These plugs make short work of any jobs you might need to drain something down for and provide decent resistance on outflow as well as for the likes of inside a tank.One got repurposed though, turns out they're very good as reliable stoppers for my girlfriend's prosecco, how that detail came to light is a bit foggy but admittedly it's impressive how well they hold in that situation too.I'd say I'd buy more but to be honest, I might try a clamping bottle stopper for laughs, see if the reverse is true, worst case, I'll flood the house, drink her wine and do it right in the morning.

I was led to believe that Monument is a top brand. These plugs come in shrink wrap packaging bearing the monument name, but didn't seem fantastic.

Work fine

On first view was a little sceptical about the potential efficacy of the plugs but used the larger plug to stem the outflow from my header tank whilst I replaced a SOV. Found it very easy to fit and, once fitted, it performed perfectly and saved me a deal of time and money by obviating the need to empty the tank. Brilliant little devices!

One of the gate vales on my cold water header taken jammed shut whilst fitting a new shower, and I thought I'd have to drain the tank to replace it. As the hot water tank is gravity fed by the header tank it's a very big tank.Fortunately I was able to avoid draining the tank by inserting the 22mm plug into the pipe, from inside the cold water tank, and tightening it up. It did the job perfectly, and avoided a lot of messing about, and also avoided wasting a full tank of water

Havnt used them as I had to get a plumber in the end. They look the part and I am sure they work well. A bit expensive for 2 pieces of plastic with rubber sleeves

Larger one had a tear on the rubber therefore didn't work as expected.Bought a cheaper alternative and that was fine.

These are great for temporarily blanking-off the end of a water pipe or for preventing the ingress of water in the buoyancy tanks of the your boat.
