スクワイヤかを迷った結果、フェンダーにしました。音を出してフェンダーで良かったと思いました。

Some annoying buzzing just won't go away ( actuall buzzing noise when playing , generated from the parts of the guitar resonating ). Other than that , decent instrument .

I saw this Polar White Player Jazzmaster listed for $709, direct from Amazon.ca, but temporarily out of stock. I was not even shopping for another guitar, but just could NOT pass up the deal, even if it meant waiting for 6 months until they got stock again. Well, I didn't have to wait long - by the end of the week, it was in my hands! This is my 4th Jazzmaster purchase, of which I still own 3 of them. The very first one I bought here at Amazon was a Squier Classic Vibe, and I loved it - except for the colour (sonic blue, blech), and it quickly had some issues that I didn't think I should have to deal with in the first two weeks, such as the pickup selector switch being flakey. Anyhow, I've had this Player Jazzmaster for less than 24 hours, but it seems higher quality than the Squier Classic Vibes. The hardware is stamped or etched with Fender branding, and it just feels pretty high quality overall. The fret ends could use some polishing, but they're not uncomfortable. The setup out of the box was okay, other than the bridge height, which was easy to adjust. The pau ferro fretboard is super light compared to the rosewood and laurel on my other Jazzmasters, and I really like that - it's different! Looks good on this guitar. This guitar has humbuckers, but also a coil split switch (pull the Tone knob). I have read that it only splits the bridge pickup, but it sounds to me like it's splitting the neck, too. It doesn't sound like a Jazzmaster, not a traditional one, anyhow. In humbucker mode it's kinda like my Squier Jagmaster, which this will essentially replace, but in split coil mode, I feel like it's more Stratocaster-like. That's fine - for vintage, I will stick with my Made in Japan Traditional 60's with hand-wound Tone Hatch Surf Lady 2 pickups. The Japanese quality is quite far ahead of this Mexican Jazzmaster, so if you have the money and want quality, I'd say you can't go wrong with a Japanese import. But you're going to spend nearly twice as much as this guitar (assuming you can snag the $709 deal that I did on here - regular price, I wouldn't even consider this guitar against a Japanese Fender, to be honest). The Player Jazzmaster doesn't have a lock on the tremolo, unfortunately. The bridge is a bit like a Mustang bridge (that I have on the other two guitars), but with adjustable saddle heights. It seems decent. The only thing I intend to change is the tuning machines. I just am unsure if I want vintage style tuners like my other guitars, or if I will get locking tuners for it. I haven't researched what options are available as drop-in replacements, but if I have to drill holes, I'll just go for the Gotoh SD91-05M again. Anyhow, with this guitar in my collection, I feel like my collection is complete. I am going to try and sell my non-Jazzmaster guitars. Between this and my MIJ and the Classic Vibe that I've got strung up as a baritone, I feel like I'm covering all the ground I could possibly need.

We got this guitar for my son since it was a Fender but wasn't over $1000 . It's well made and came mostly setup. The fit and finish is excellent and the sound is what you want from a Jaguar. There was a bit of a rattle in the bridge which is a well known complaint. After setting the intonation, we removed the set screws for the bridge height, 12 in total, applied some blue thread locker, and put them back in evenly. That quieted things right down.
