ct 13 A 3 Way 3 Gang Switched Surge Protected Plug-In Adapter with Neon Switch - White

Very good value. It works as 3 way adapter. Allows me to independently switch on/off the 3 connected devices. The one I got is like the (Feb.2019) picture and IS SURGE PROTECTED. Delivered very quickly.4 star, not 5 - as I had to "BANG IT ABOUT A BIT" !!!.I found I could not get a plug into one of the sockets initially - something was in the way it felt like - so I got a piece of wood, and banged this adapter on it in two or three different angles - and some tiny little bits of white plastic came out (looked like left over bits from the make/mouldings that had not been cleaned out before it was screwed together (... by "slave labour" in a sweat house in Asia I suspect)... After that no problem fitting plug to it...#...SURGE protection YES - I took it apart to have a look - it has a small capacitor thingy wired between live/neutral that should work for a certain level of surge protection - the surge protection does not carry a BS or CE european certificate marking though. Do NOT take it apart if you do not know what you are doing - you might put it back together in an UNSAFE way - also there are a few fiddly small parts inside that are a bit tricky to align correctly when putting back together.... One or two people experienced that their adapter went "bang" when first plugged in - this is likely the little capacitor going up in a "puff of smoke" - but the adapter may still work, even after that happens - just the surge protection is then gone - but for safety reasons you should discard/throw away a surge protected adapter/plug that has already done this...

Update -Adapter failed to switch off connected portable computer even though switch was to off and LED not lit. Adapter is held together by screws that are not tamper resistant as expected therefore opened and found dislodged socket contact which appears reliant on inserted plug for correct position and switch function. Reassembled and switches presently operate but cannot trust this adapter. See Photo.Update - Seller sent replacement which appears to work correctly.

This device is a great & useful idea around the home, unfortunately the internal design is flawed, and I have found that 2 of the outputs will not switch off. When you plug a 13A plug into the 2 way socket, the earth pin of the plug appears to move the internal supposedly fixed switch contact, preventing the device switcing off.I am very sad as I really had a use for this device, but the cost of returning this product was not worth the effort!

The main issue I have with these is that the flicks are very very hard to move. You will need two hands to turn off any of the 3 sockets.Because how rough the switches are, it just feels very cheap to me. I purchased a bunch of these in black from Wilkinson and they feel and look like quality. This solves the ‘all or nothing’ effect of most multiplug box sockets. Plus the peace of mind of the surge protect means I could confidently plug in my Xmas lights. Plus I have mobility issues with hand strength, so I no longer have to struggle pulling plugs in & out of sockets, just a simple click & my job is done! #win

What a great little surge protected fused adaptor, The reason I wanted this one is because now my computer is plug straight into the wall socket with this surge adaptor. Before I had too plug computer in a cable surge protected and with the computer cable & the surge cable is is only nine feet of cable going around the room. This is a much better way of doing things. So buy now before it's too late.

this adapter was purchased because my other preference was not available so I thought I would give it a try, the price is very reasonable, it's an adapter so not much you can say about it. One plug was rather difficult to insert, the swithches are a little nimble and you need make sure switch is fully engaged and indicator light on to ensure working correctly, this has not always been the case, as I said switches are pretty sensative, small and I am unsure at this moment in time whether it will last or not..we shall see

I was looking for an adapter with switch buttons as my room has just two plugs. I chose this product as it seems to be perfect for my needs - three plugs, right dimension, buttons to switch appliances on/off when desired. Compared to other similar items, the price was most convenient - therefore I have it a try. After a few months of use, I can say that it has been a great choice and I would undoubtedly buy it again. Five stars.Amazon’s service was excellent as usual.
