Low-Cost Poe
It works! It's powerful. It can be grounded. It's perfect for outside installations. I use them as a cable extender and a grounding point when I when I install external cameras. The switch has a very high protection against search 4 kilovolts and a grounding point. All metal construction highly recommended.

A great futureproof upgrade
I'm constantly working on upgrading my home lab. Currently, my lab runs at 1 and 2.5GbE speeds so this does hold back a few connections but overall it works great. The main reason I got this, though, was for the PoE feature. I have quite a few mini PCs that don't need to be on all the time and support PoE. Using this, I'm able to reduce my electricity costs without having to waste time routinely rebooting select devices.Aside from working great, the build quality is pretty nice too.

4 Extra Ethernet Cable Ports
I recently got the new Starlink satellite internet dish, with an ethernet adapter. I need more than one plugin for these cables since I run a VOIP telephone device and security camera systems, so I got this one. There’s one in-port from the router, and 4 out-ports.I won’t go into all the technical aspects as what I want is for this kind of device to be smart and automatic, so it’s essentially plug-and-play. It splits and manages the signals well, and that’s what I require. It is powered and plugs into a standard wall socket (although I use and recommend that with sensitive electronics, including my Starlink system, you get a decent battery backup/surge protector, so I plugged this into that as well). The one strange thing about this is that it does require a power supply, but one is not provided. You may be able to use any transformer for electric devices that you already have, as it will take any input that puts out 12 to 48 volts, DC current. Some people are going to have a little trouble figuring that out, so one star off for the inconvenience. I got this one, which produces 24 vdc, and came with a number of tips so I could choose the correct one B09KRWB5Q8.This powered smart splitter is what I needed.

So far so good
I haven't used its POE capabilities yet, but as a layer-2 it has been working great. It's very decent for the price.

Sturdy Gigabit Switch
The built quality is sturdy and durable. It works as expected which adds 4 more gigabit ports to my router. I wish it comes with a power supply so it would be plug-n-play off the shelf. It is not a big deal though. I just need to look for an old power supply then cut off the tip then strip off the end of the two wires. The challenge part for some might be to determine the polarity of the wires. Since I have a multimeter so it is easy to find out. I simply insert the wires into the power terminals accordingly then screw the wires securely to the switch. That is all! Plug in the power and connect the uplink to one of my router's ports, I then have 4 ports available. Effectively, this switch adds 3 extra ports since I have to use up 1 port in my router for uplink connection. One nice feature (not documented) is that the power terminal has 2 sets of wire connectors, 2 positive (V+) and 2 negative (V-). This means multiple switches can be stacked up with a single power supply to the first switch, The rest of the switches can be daisy-chained through the 2nd set of wire terminals.

Full 1gb ports and speed
Well packaged 5 port dil rail and wall mountable switch. It can use a wide range of DC voltages all the way up to 48v. I have this currently connected to a 12v @ 1 amp power supply and this just works as good as my Cisco switches. Speed test shows full bandwidth host to host from my tests and very stable. I received no drops in a 24hr burn in test at full speed and is small enough to fit onto pretty much fit on any DIN rail enclosure and very strong hold. Highly recommend this switch for your equipment that needs 1gb full bandwidth communication.
