I did use the bore head immediately as I had a 15mm bore to cut. First, I put the head in my mill and began adjusting. Why is the head wiggling about???? It's wiggling! Is the R8 collet junk?🤔 Took the tool out and found out the collet and head are two separate pieces and threaded together about as hand tight as a two year old would be able! Threaded together by 30mm thread or so, I did not measure, but that's about what it is. Took that apart, applied RED loctite as I DON'T WANT THIS COMING APART! I could have welded I suppose? Either way I don't want the tool coming apart during a bore process. First task is to secure these two pieces together! The dial works OK but for sure has a good amount of backlash. The description states .0001" increments but on the tool itself it's stamped/laser cut .001" on the diameter. The dial is easy enough to read just make sure of your direction every adjustment. It works if you are careful! I did find the bore bar carbides to be not so sharp. Dull enough to cause a good deal of deflection. A sharp 1/2" HSS ground bar might be better! OK, so I'm expecting $2000 performance from a $70 tool. My bad! It works but sneaking up on your diameter is necessary. Also, a couple spring cuts are a good idea! I would not recommend this for a beginner/ novice. There are just too many factors that will destroy your project unless you can figure how to make stuff work. Can you redneck this tool good enough to work? Maybe!
