If there were NO stars this is a product that would be well deserved of that.I honestly, after 20 plus years of selling bathrooms have NEVER come across such an inferior not fit for purpose and not as described product than this.I bought 2 to fit in an old home so they at least had new soft close seats.I remember in the early 2000's the fading out of hinges that had to be fitted in a certain way as one controls the 'soft close' nature of the lower part, whilst the other utilises a separate mechanism to control the lid.Firstly they are cheap, however seats that cost £5 are far far superior in quality than these.I honestly have NEVER come accross such poorly made super thin seats which are so thin they require more rubber seat stoppers which touch the pan so that the seat doesn't slip.These extra rubber stoppers however are required due to the thin nature of the material.It's so thin you can see through, however this isn't the worst part of this review!!The screws supplied have a bolt which is such inferior quality that the thread is too thin to allow any tightening.I tightened these up with my hands and just as I thought it was gripping they slipped.The screws are larger than the bolt thread!!There is a supposed supplied pressure plastic adapter which is designed to apply pressure to the screw therefore allowing the screw to grip.It fails dramatically!!Then there are the upside down hinges!!As the images show your left with a cupped fitting instead of a fitting that allows drips to run off, this one as my images will show has a large gap and the hinges fit inside an upturned fitting which will obviously hold any 'liquid' spilled onto it so the so called anti bacterial nature is useless.As you can see from the images the whole seat is easily bent out of shape even when both top and bottom lid are together , with a single hand and such a small amount of force it's really unbelievably poor.The seat you see in the images is not fitted as the screws are not small enough or the bolts are so thin the thread is not sufficiently strong to grip the screw correctly!!I emailed the company to allow then the opportunity to put this right before I left my review however after sending fitting instructions? They simply said well it's a cheap seat so there!!!Absolutely dire customer service and even worse products.This is totally unfit for purpose and the description does not show the hinges which as previously mentioned were phased out in the early 2000's!!!!This is simply put the worst ever purchase I have made, even if these were in a £1 shop they would be unfit for purpose.I think personally it's laughable that they mention these are made in the EU as NO WHERE was there a standard label which must be shown by law if this is true!??Save your money and avoid at all costs, I can't speak for other sellers or brands however as someone who has 20 plus years experience selling W/C seats , bathrooms etc, I can tell you there are far far superior seats for less than half the price at a well known home store and they are a "B" ig & "M" ajor improvement!!Totally unbelievable says they are made in the EU? Not even an official EU stamp which is required by law, that is against the law plus the consumer rights act which governs all sales including the one.Whomever tells you these seats are anything but 1 star I assure you are either clueless or someone from the company who supplies them, I have attached all the evidence required and there are far better photographs than I have provided here in better light showing just how paper thin these are.I would seriously doubt the "antibacterial" claims if they blatently flaunt the law regarding their made in the EU claim, something that now appears just to be a downright marketing lie.The Reviewer

As usual delivery from Amazon was great. End of good news. The old adage of getting what you pay for is spot on. This seat is so thin even a child would feel nervous sitting on it. Fittings did fit OK, only time will tell how they perform over time. The lid takes approximately 40 seconds to close, not sure it that's by design but will be ready to use again before fully closed. Will definitely be returning this shoddy product.

I purchased this as it was an 'amazon recommends' plus I thought it was a fair price so it would be better than my cheap rubbish thin plastic ones I have already. The rating was nearly 5 stars and it read well. What a disappointment! It's thinner than my other cheaper ones, it's plastic which I wanted as it stops rust residue but it's so flimsy. So disappointing. And now have to pay for return costs! Wish I had read reviews rather than relying on just seeing the stars.

If you ask your husband to buy a toilet seat, make sure he knows he has permission to spend enough to get one that doesn't close your bottom in the seat lid when you sit on it?!?!?! It moves around and the seat lifts up with the lid. In fact look at the picture and imagine being sat on it with the lid at that angle and you've got the idea! Two stars because it was a least cheap and is better than the broken one it replaced but only because that one was no longer attached to the toilet!!.......

As other reviewers have commented, this is a bit flimsy though not as bad I was expecting based on some of the feedback given. It was quite easy to fit but I had to look at the video on their website to work out how the nuts are meant to go since I'm not a natural DIYer! I live alone so it'll get light use in my en-suite and will be fine for that. It's probably not the best choice in a family setting. Good value for money, though.

I brought this for £15.99, knowing full well the quality wouldn't be fantastic.The seat is made out of a flimsy plastic, however they have tried to support this by putting in 7 plastic contacts between the seat and the toilet pan to help it support the average person's weight.The bolts for the seat were really short, leaving me with about 5 to 10mm to screw in the screws.That being said, it was easy to install, it was delivered quickly and for a good price. You get what you pay for, and I am not disappointed! - This product only needs to last me, until the DIY stores re-open.

Replacing a toilet seat can be harder than it looks. Especially as it can be tough getting the old one off.I am pleased to see the plastic parts as this will prevent trouble at a later date getting this one off. I also prefer the bottom fixing, as it feels more stable.This model is a good value basic white one. It is lightweight.The dimensions are as listed. The adjustable fittings fit a standard toilet. It took about 10 minutes to fit.The seat works great and fits perfectly. It is comfortable and stable.The soft close action is good and no more being woken up in the night by dropping seats.Overall we are pleased with this budget range toilet seat.

This is a cheap toilet seat. It's lightweight and doesn't look very strong but It fitted the toilet ok and the closing mechanism is nice - no more slammed toilet seats. But I am sad to say that the lid fell off within the first week.It is possible to put it back on but the fixings come loose very easily and it happens again and again. I'd recommend buying a more expensive seat with better fixings.
