NEBO 6899 Big Larry Flashlight, Black [Energy Class A+]

I am an engineer by trade this is my honest unpaid review. I don't do reviews for products which I'm not impressed with.The service for a start from Amazon is amazing.The torch is very well made the materials used throughout are high quality you can tell attention has been paid from design to manufacture. The button is high quality and the led glass cover is made of tough plastic which will take a good bashing. The torch is water resistant the rear cap has a nice rubber seal so any drops in water will not corrode the batteries or threads.The light the torch throws out is brilliant a clear white beam which is natural for a small chip 400 lumens is brilliant on high power. The battery life on full power meets the recommended time for burn. I use the torch as a mountain guide and as an engineer it's so versatile on the hills the red strobe can be used for emergency notifications. I have purchased a belt holder for this which also allows the torch to be clipped for a bag.The magnetic base is very strong so when working on my car it's ideal I simply attach it to any metal surface and angle as required. The magnetic is very strong.I like the fact is can swap out batteries when I need on medium power they last around 15 hours.The beam pattern is ideal for outdoor walking it will light up a wide area around 15 to 20 feet.I will probably buy the little Larry as well thats perfect for your jacket pocket.This torch is very versatile and weights hardly anything. On a final note I will say the quality of the led panel is top notch.You won't be disappointed..Imran

Got this for fill lighting and generally using to... well, light things.I do find cycling power settings off one button mildly annoying but most of them do it I guess.The light is wide and effective. Battery seems to last just fine. Bonus is it takes perfectly normal easily available batteries.The full beam seems slightly above the Kelvin I chose to shoot at, but it's not a deal breaker by any means. It's a really portable light that I made a dead simple diffuser to fit on top. Great stuff.The magnet is pretty strong, holds it well unless it's a vertical surface then a slight nudge will have you reaching for it to stop it falling.It's well made, passes the bend test easily.It's worth the money.

It arrived on time in the usual 'impossible to get into without scissors' packaging. But once out the packaging you could immediately feel the weight and quality of the product. It comes with 'get you by batteries' which i'm still using several months later so good on them for that. Being the idiot i am i was looking directly at the led's when i first turned it on, big mistake, took about 5 minutes before i could see properly again!! Holy moly its bright! It is soo bright i jokingly use it to temporarily blind my work colleagues. It has a strong magnetic base, very useful and three modes of operation, full on, half on and an SOS red flashy thing. The magnetic base is so strong it will stick to a nail head, i find this very useful as it keeps my hands free to do some work. For the price its a no brainer for me, when it breaks (or more to the point when I break it!) i will just go buy another one...

The media could not be loaded. Heavy & well built,magnet at base holds it onto fridge ok,3 modes,bright,dull,red flashing,goes off after 10 seconds & u have to push button again.U can press for 15 second & should stay on however mine didn't & is frustrating when turns off SO returning mine,gunna look for inspection torch as more adaptable - far less frustrating

Simple to maintain one of my favourite go to torches. The magnetic base means it stays where it’s put. Well worth the money.

Big Larry is a great name for a great product. Of course it is designed to appeal to the inner workman in us all not the amateur hack and to be honest it hits the target well.This is in fact the second one of these I have bought or rather the wife has. She bought the first one as a tool to have around when dealing with life's little issues such as breakers tripping and water leaks when light in quantity is needed. A bit more frequent in my house than some I suspect as my six year project rolls on....And, it's so useful and so bright that when my son spotted it he tried to nick it. It is like having a mini-sun in your hand and gives a great spread of light for any task where you might need a bit more vision. Hence the second one we bought which was donated for his house renovation work.Seems to last a decent amount of time too and so far I've never ran out of power mid task which is always a bonus.Quality is pretty good too. Not, maybe LED Lenser standard but good.Overall a great bit if kit that should be close at hand in any tool box.

This is an excellent torch.1. It's robust (been dropped a few times and still going strong)2. It's crazy bright and better than any other floodlight I've used. Even the low power setting provides plenty of light to work by.3. Batteries last really well, much longer than my older torches, and they're not a fraction as bright as this new one.4. The magnet is really strong. It's been used stuck under the bonnet to floodlight the engine bay, to the garage door, to the frame of my campervan to light up the inside, and it holds its own weight well.5. It came well packaged with batteries already in it, and spare batteries attached. Made a really good gift.6. It's water resistant. I've accidentally left it in the garden in overnight rain a few times and it's just fine.It's a really good quality, well made, very bright torch.

You turn the torch on and it keeps timing itself out after a minute.
