It's fun and cleverly made. The sound effects get annoying real quick but they can be turned off. I wish it came with four rods instead of just two.

This is a very cute toy, but very chintzy. The fish fell apart instantly, and the fishing poles came broken in the box.

We wanted to have toys on hand when our friends brought their kids (3 and 6) over to our house. They really liked this one, and it was fun to watch them "fishing" on the table. A few things to keep in mind - the fish do have magnets, and the fishing rods can be whipped around (as the boys discovered to their delight), so this is one you'll want to have a little bit of supervision on if your kids are little. And you may get the little song it plays stuck in your head for a while! But we really like it, it was perfect to have them playing at one end of the table while the adults hung out chatting and kept half an eye on them.

Gears inside slip and make the toy not function.
