Great novel sun lounger.
This is a great novel sun lounger. It does indeed rock when you move. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. It takes some getting used to, and can be unnerving. In practice I'd say you can adjust your angle by shifting your weight, more than rock your self to sleep. You have to position yourself at the perfect position, and then moving your arms or legs will tilt it one way or the other. If you move then very slowly you might be able to hold that position, but generally you're going to end up positioning your arms to maintain your angle. I'm pretty sure the base will wear somewhat making it stick in the most common positions, which probably is a good thing. At first I wasn't at all sure and it certainly wasn't the relaxing rocking chair experience, but it's really grown on me now, and being able to adjust your angle without getting up and faffing around adjusting the back is actually quite nice. And occasionally, I do move my arms or legs subtly to set it rocking a bit, and it is probably more fun than a 50 year old should be having. I deliberately rock forward to help me get up.Anyway, if I've scared you off, consider their non rocking lounger. It's rock solid. I have both, and this one is more unique and fun, but I'd recommend the other to my mother. It's made out of acacia wood, and the finish is simple but nice, with brass (with some discolorisation) effect fittings and screws. This lounger requires assembly, which can be done alone but is easier with two. It's mostly straight forward, but the final stage is 12 or so self tapping screws to fix the slats, and the strapping was sometimes under the screwing point and sometimes not, and a couple of screws dead headed despite very careful driving. They are easily replaced though, as long as you can get them out. Also be sure to fix the top and bottom first and ensure the hinge fits between two slats before attempting to secure the intermediate screws.Again, if this is putting you off, their non rocking one comes fully assembled (except adding the handle). It also folds down more compactly. This lounger folds in half which makes moving and storing it easier, but it's still got a 60x50x100h cm ish footprint. They claim it can withstand the weather as long as you re oil it each year, but I'd over winter it inside for longevity.

Poor quality chair
Very poor quality chair. Had to return the chair but it took months to do so with the seller and then they forgot about the refund. We had to remind them again to get the money back.

It’s a puzzle!
I like my sun lounger, I’m glad I bought it BUT it comes in pieces, lots and lots of pieces, which I did not expect. It takes a lot of time and effort to put it together, instructions are poor. Once it’s up it is reasonable quality and a nice colour.

really stylish and good for the price
Easy to assemble even without instructions, looks great, quite comfy and for price great value. Quite low so not for the less mobile. Probably won't last more than a few years unless treated often and kept indoors in bad weather but for £50 you can't go wrong

Not for short people!
The item is good quality and attractive looking. It did take a while to put together as all the slates had to be attached seperately. Unfortunately as im only 5foot i cannot sit or get comfortable on it as my legs are too short and the arch in the chair makes my back hurt....but if you are not on the short side it is fab
