TPU is great material for printing
Great TPU material from Sainsmart. Used to order direct from China, but shipping times are a pain. Ability to get from Amazon at roughly the same price is a great result.TPU prints out at 215 deg on a 70 deg bed, no stringing and great quality prints.Highly recommend this material for home printing in flexible materials.

Good quality filament
SainSmart never fails me. I am very happy with this TPU.

Fantastic
Printed really well straight away. Using a Prusa i3 with Bowden-type (short, though) extruder. Slow speed is needed, 25mm/s max.No idea why other TPU-based filament costs like 40 quid but this doesn't.

The TPU i trust
Needs time to get it diled in. Keep in a dry box as TPU absorbes a lot of humidity and ruins your prints.

Great filament. misleading advertisement.
This is the first semi-flexible filament I have printed. I printed a new extruder first to make sure the filament path was well constrained so that this filament wouldn't kink between the feed gear and the PTFE throat. I have had no problems printing this filament using my upgraded MK10 extruder. I have tried 20-40mm/S and print quality doesn't degrade at this speed. I probably wont try print this any faster, I feel that would be pushing my luck.I am quite disappointed to knock a star off such a good filament. It is a pity the seller sells this as a "approximately 1KG roll". I suppose that is true, 800g is "approximately 1KG". But it clearly states on the roll that it is 800 grams of TPU. Why advertise otherwise?

87a TPU is too soft for a multi-material unit but works well standalone
A few lessons I learned while working with this material (87a natural-color TPU):1. A 0.4 mm nozzle has too much back-pressure, and can cause the filament to kink and fold around the drive gear inside the extruder. A 0.6 mm nozzle works great.2. Volumetric flow rate should be set at 2.5 cubic mm/sec in the slicer. This also automatically creates upper limits for all other speed settings.3. The filament is floppy and droopy like a wet noodle. A multi-material unit has trouble pushing this material to the extruder. It works best in single material mode.4. The filament wants to stretch as the extruder pulls on it. Try to reduce friction as much as possible, and try to straighten paths though PTFE tubes.Once you get it working, this stuff prints great. It's also wonderful not to worry about the part coming loose from the build plate, it sticks so well. Dip a small watercolor paint brush in isopropyl alcohol and paint it around the bottom edge of the part to help release it from the build plate.Because this filament is so soft and stretchy, I was surprised how stiff my part came out, compared to the original filament. 4 perimeters and 30% infill creates a part almost as hard as PETG. 2 perimeters and 10% gyroid infill produces a reasonably flexible part, but it's still stiffer than I expected.

Buena calidad y gran flexibilidad
Este tpu es mucho mas elastico que cualquier otro que haya probado. Hay que ajustar bien la retraccion en la maquina y mas aun la velocidad de desplazamiento, una vez bien ajustado se improme con el muy bien y el resultado es optimo.
