Q: Does it have any knockouts on the back

Hi. Unfortunately, No. It has 4 x screw holes and an earth point. I have tried to sent you 2 images of the inside, but Amazon email is having trouble with sending. Thank you, Darren

Q: how do i open the knockouts

Tap on one edge from the outside, away from where the spot-welds are. I use a screwdriver and my palm heel, it doesn't need a lot of force. The knockout will usually then hinge open on a weld and you can bend back and forth to snap out. If it's a tough one you might lever it open with a screwdriver first, but even then it is really very easy.

Q: Do i need to connect spare earth to the case?

I used it in the garage. Extra earth to the case. Nothing special. Twin and earth. Electrician said that would be OK.

Q: Is it safe to use this attached to wooden loft rafters?
