CSI PREMIER75W Digital Temperature Controlled Solder Station 75W Soldering Iron

Used it a couple of times and am happy with it. Ability to store three preset temperatures is nice, and it heats quickly. Like that the iron stand is separate from the main body - fits my desk a bit better.

My old, direct mains soldering iron needed replacing after 25 years of good service, and I began to look at soldering stations as I was interested in upgrading somewhat. After a LOT of searching and watching/reading reviews and teardowns, I decided to go for this one based on the features and the reviews. Within a couple of days it was pressed into action for the repair of a friends BMW ECU (conformally coated) - what a difference from the old mains powered iron!There is no way on earth that the old iron would have dealt with the conformal coating the way that this soldering station did, and the ability to vary the temperature accurately meant that I achieved nice solder joints without exposing any of the components to excess heat.Normally, it can take a while to get the feel of a new iron, and I expected no different with this one - however, within minutes of switching it on, I was comfortably soldering away as though I had been using this iron for years. If you are in the market for a good soldering iron at a reasonable price, then I would say that this one is hard to beat.

This is a very good soldering station for the money. You probably won't find another soldering station that is this good for the money.This product gives you a lot of control and the iron is comfortable to use. It certainly gets the job done quickly and neatly.Update: Keep the silicon cable on the iron out of the way of cats. Apparently, it is infused with catnip - joke. My cat loves to chew it, which isn't very useful. So another useful thing is that replacement elements, tips, & and whole irons are easily available.

I was unfortunate enough to receive this product with a faulty handle so the ceramic heating element was probably fractured on the inside as the temperature would not go beyond 200 degrees C. I contacted the customer support who sent me a replacement handle and now it heats up perfectly. Great value for money!

After struggling for years with a standard soldering iron with a stiff cable and unknown working temperature I ventured into buying one of these . I love it and is the best tool buy of the year for me just hope it keeps working as it’s a dream to use .

still not used to working with this type of iron moving from Antex to something this light does not feel correct but it seems to work fine heats up very quickly and do far seems reliable. On purchase mine had a rattle, on opening the case I found a nut which did not appear to belong anywhere! be aware this could easily have caused a major short or even in the worst case caused a fire CSI maybe you should review quality control. having said that I would buy again, I have other products from CSI and all work great.

Brilliant bit of kit. Used it on some PCBs and worked a treat, although I did use a different tip to the one supplied, not a fan of fine-point. The auto-power down on idle to 100C is very good, heats back up very quickly to your set temp.

I bought one in Nov16 and at first it worked fine though used infrequently. After powering on after around 6 months of non-use, the tip would not heat and he temperature display read 25 degrees. I've orderd a replacement lead and tip from CS Europe, so I hope that this fixes it. However, I would have not expected this station to fail after so little use.
