I've had some of these mega fuses in my campervan for a few months now.They work as you'd expect a fuse to work - in that none have blown yet... here's hoping that there aren't any problems with my wiring where they fuse should have blown and hasn't :-)

I wanted to use with a SC50-8 however the box is too small to accommodate (had to slightly modify)I often use 70mm or 95mm2 cable - wouldn’t be able to do so with this holder

I wanted to know the fuse will actually open at a sensible current, so I bought 2x 100A and popped one by putting it in the ground circuit for a TIG welder.It withstood 15 seconds at 160A. I gave it a short pause and then it popped in about 7 seconds at 170A. This is roughly what I would expect.The picture shows plastic melting on one side - it started within seconds at 130A. This does not reflect badly on the fuse itself, it shows that the poor connection with the 60mm battery clip is generating a lot of heat. The big welding ground clamp on the right makes a firmer connection and there was no melting.Other info from the disassembly: it contains a nice little mica window which cleaves beautifully.

Good product very well made

I purchased two of these 80a mega fuses to add to my lifepo4 battery setup. You need M8 bolts to secure them to the battery terminal and cables. Hopefully will never have to test they work, but for safety reason these are a must in case of any possible short circuits.Good quality fuses with a small window where you can see if the fuse has blown.I hope you found my review helpful
