Loving my new iron. I have had 3 steam generator irons which have only lasted 6 months to 2 years! They have been a huge saver on time but didn't last very long. This product is new. However, Morphy Richards have a warranty of 3 years which is reassuring. It irons as good if not better than the steam generator irons I've used before. What I love about this, it has an autodescaler setting which is really simple and only takes 3 minutes. 😊👍🏼 What is also great, there is no dried residue stick to the plate which I have experienced right from early usage of the other steam generators. So overall, a lot less faff of cleaning the plate and manually descaling ❤️. Hallelujah 💪🏼😊

Have been using this iron for a while now and i think it is spot on. I love the constant steam you can generate and love using the iron on a weekly basis. Still work in an office so it is usually 5 shirts a week and a few t-shirts that I would have worn at the weekend. The cord is long enough and it isnt too heavy. I like the locking mechanism as well. Makes light work of the ironing and would recommend.

Absolutely amazing iron!! Making ironing such a pleasure, very easy to use and heats up very fast! Glides across all clothing and very weightless. Looks sleek and easy to store. Good cord length.

This is a brilliant iron and does the job well. But...there are three things that are annoying. The first one is the water tank; it has a mark on the side to indicate the maximum water level. The tank is made from a darkish red plastic, so when you are filling it you really do have difficulty actually seeing the water. I have flooded the worktop on more than one occasion. The second hiccup is the size of the machine's footprint. Our ironing board is a very large with a large side plate to place the iron when ironing. This iron, however, overhangs the side plate front and back resulting in an iron that rocks from side to side. My wife now places the iron on the kitchen worktop now for safety. Prior to this iron, we had another Morphy Richards steam generator which fitted perfectly. The third fault is the iron lock. There is a locking system for the iron which works very well when you need it to lock. But it does tend to be in the way when ironing, you have to rest the iron on top of the front locking mechanism, which does not give confidence in the iron staying in place on the top of the steam generator. These problems are annoying but are things that you get used to, but I must confess, this iron is powerful, and does its job incredibly well. I can recommend it as long as you are aware of these irritants!

Great iron

Have bought this twice now. First one about 10yrs ago but needed upgrading so bought this again. Good robust model, irons very well and in a couple of minutes. Very speedy. Does take about a minute to heat up then its good to go. Self cleaning.

Back to an amazing steam iron from my rubbish preset Phillips perfect care. This has an amazing steam output and that was just on the medium setting, easy to use and the iron is light to handle and has a dial to adjust for different fabrics. I like that it can also be used dry .This iron doesn’t disappoint well worth the money.

This is the worst piece of electrical equipment I have ever purchased!! After 7 months it had scaled up and was leaking water from the connections between the tank and the machine body. On contacting Morphy Richards I was eventually told that additional descaling might be necessary ,though this is not mentioned in any of their literature, I know because I have read the instruction booklet thoroughly. So much for Self cleaning and Auto Clean. I was extremely disappointed in their customer service and told them that this would appear to be a manufacturing flaw and very misleading documentation to say the least. It would appear they were quite happy for me to complain to Amazon to obtain a refund. Against my better judgement we descaled the iron and religiously made sure we only used De-ionised/Tap water 50/50. May I add at this point that we live in a very soft water area and have absolutely no scale in any equipment in our home. We have never needed to use salt in our dishwasher or use Calgon or similar products in our washing machine. Our taps and other bath/basin hardware is scale free. I believe that Morphy Richards are well aware of this fault and are quite prepared to "Wrong foot " any complaints. Sept 25 This Steam generator has stopped producing any steam whatsoever. Having contacted them again and been told that once again I must provide photos, videos, and confirming documents to prove date of purchase etc, I have decided to cut my losses and buy another make. I just know that they will not honour their obligations to genuine customers. I was sold a PUP and I am calling it a day. BUYER BEWARE!!
