Not only do these taste absolutely incredible (tried Strawberry, ordered Chocolate to try as well) they work out at 62p a shake (2.5kg tub), 200 calories a hit. The maths speaks for itself. If you take two of these and a light tea, you're losing weight. If you have a light breakfast and two of these for dinner and tea, you're losing weight. If you have three of these plus multivitamin tablets no big meal, you're losing even more weight. It's a win win. Obviously don't try these if you haven't got the discipline to avoid ordering a takeaway at 10pm. These will work, the maths doesn't lie... 400 calories across two meals means + 25grams of protein per serving, you'd have to have a huge meal elsewhere to not see benefits. This will be a regular for me going forward. Cheap imitations (X-tone for example), don't come close. A little pro-tip, Home Bargains sell the USN Select for 12.99 a tub. It's not as good as this, only 20g of protein per 200 calories, but if you're desperately in need and want to avoid hitting the snack bar at work, you can grab a tub from there. I have, very useful for those days I don't have access to my usual tub. UPDATE: So I've now tried Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla USN Ultrealan and also Strawberry and Vanilla USN Select and feel compelled to rank them in order. I blend all of mine using a Blendjet or standard Protein shaker 1. Strawberry Ultralean - For me, this is the king. It tastes amazing. It's like smooth angel delight. Fills you up for ages. 2. Vanilla Select - This tastes absolutely amazing. It's probably the nicest taste of all of them, but it's a little thinner which means it might not fill you up quite as effectively. Taken with supplements to bulk it, I find it perfect during the day at work. 3. Strawberry Select - Tastes pretty good. More like a traditional Strawberry milkshake, and doesn't fill you up as much as Ultralean but still a really good product. 4. Chocolate Ultralean - Thick and fills you up for ages. Probably the thickest of all of them and very effective at keeping you full. A little bit on the sweet side and your second in the day can seem a bit sickly. 5. Vanilla Ultralean - I might edit this review if my opinion changes, but at the moment, this feels the biggest disappointment. After tasting Vanilla Select and noting how amazing it tasted, I had high hopes for Vanilla Ultralean and figured it would be the same flavour but perhaps a bit thicker. It has this weird chemical flavour going on (a common theme in these reviews). It even smells a bit chemically, at least from a distance. As it stands, I'd probably avoid the Vanilla Ultralean and advise that Chocolate Ultralean is an acquired taste but happy to stick with 5* for Strawberry alone.

2 scoops blended in water, mixes perfect, smooth texture and tastes brilliant not over sweet. Very filling, keeps me going for hours. Brilliant if your on a diet, 2 shakes per day and low calorie meal the weight will fall off ! Think this is probably my 5th tub. Well worth the money

This is by far the best protein drink I have ever bought. Tastes like a McDonald's vanilla shake and is so creamy. I love that it's mixed with water and is only 200 calories. It's very filling too !

Look, lets be honest, this isn't a miracle fat loss or muscle building powder, what it is, is a great tool for helping both... Firstly, the calories in each serving that are being bounded around are misleading and in some cases incorrect. The exact amount of calories advertised of just under 200 kcal are right, IF, mixed with water. By mixing with milk, you obviously add 50 kcals for every 100ml of semi-skimmed milk you use - the shakes okay with water, but doesn't keep you filled from breakfast to lunch, so for this you need the milk - 400ml of milk with a standard serving kept me easily filled from 07:00 - 13:00, so pretty good, but this makes the whole shake around the 400 kal mark, which isn't too bad. You can do better though with something as simple as Beef Jerky, which is much tastier, has less kcals and a lot more protein, which in turn keeps you fuller for longer and builds muscle better, however, it does work out more expensive in the long run. The protein levels in this shake are not bad, they are not going to bulk you up, but they will help keep your protein levels up if part of a protein-rich diet. I have lost 2 stone 3lbs in 9 weeks (that 68 kg), I have done this very easily by counting calories (generally eating 750 - 1600 kcals a day, but averaging around the 1250 mark) and working out 3-4 days a week for around an hour, simply using the Wii Fit (jogging and hula-hoop are best) and Nike+ Trainer on the Xbox (25 mins at a time). I use this shake as and when I feel like it as part of a balanced diet... using it twice a day as most people seem to recommend gets boring - 5-7 times a week (usually for breakfast as its fast to make) is the average. If you want to use it this way, I would highly recommend it and am just purchasing my second box now, but do not buy thinking that you can swap for food and weight will just drop off or muscle will just build... THERE IS NO PRODUCT ON THE MARKET THAT DOES THIS!!! This product is good though, so if you have a common sense approach to weight loss, use it!!! I was delivered fast, tastes good (great with milk) and does work... Goodluck :)

The product is fantastic.. it does exactly what it’s meant to do. So all the negative reviews given relating to this product, they are clearly not dedicated to achieving what it’s meant for. It’s not tasteless, and it certainly is not sweet, I’ve been using this product for a while now, I had to make lifestyle changes due to osteoarthritis in my hip. Loose weight was my first priority. Have the right mind set and JUST DO IT. I mix this product for breakfast with 500 ml of cold water with 1 level & 1/2 scoop of the chocolate powder. I mix in 1 tablespoon &1/2 of Oat bran with it and blend. It’s fantastic. It comes out like a proper milk shake. I sometimes have another for lunch with a piece of fruit. Normal healthy meal in the evening. Watch the calories! I have created a calorie deficit, this Usn protein has helped. BUT it also comes with exercise. I’m 64 years old and I walk everyday without fail. 3 miles at least sometimes more. I also on 4 days a week after a walk I do 30 min either on a concept 2/ Elliptical/ or spin bike. I have my own gym I tend to alternate the machines to use different muscle groups. Gradually I’ve built this up, including some strength training also. The concept 2 and movement in general has given my hip much more flexibility. To begin, it sucked, was awful. But my mind was set with my hip as it is I had to make the changes. Now I’ve lost 2 stone over quite a few weeks. I have muscles and lost a huge amount of body fat. My BP. Has come down to 125/75, from 158/90. I have got rid of all the inflammation out of my body due to making changes. Usn protein has helped me kick start this. It’s a lifestyle for me now. So I have nothing but enormous gratitude for this product. So the people who are fussy about taste, try the vanilla, it can be added with a handful of blueberries or strawberries or banana. Or even a spoonful of coffee to make a cappuccino. If I have any gripe at all , I’d say the strawberry is the most sweetest so I tend to avoid that flavour. But this product gets results. Anything done properly takes time and persistence. If you get tired, then rest, go again the next day. As your body changes so will your attitude. Package of this product I’ll agree needs to be re designed but it does not alter the quality of its contents. Thank you USN it has help me enormously.

I bought this about three weeks ago. I started off using it for 'snacking' throughout the day. Because I could just mix one up and have a few gulps and it would satisfy my belly. But I have started having it as meal replacement for breakfast and sometimes lunch, because it is so filling and stops me feeling hungry - which nothing ever has before!! lol. The taste is quite nice. The first one I made did have a 'sweetner' aftertaste, but I don't notice it anymore. Each shake, using two scops is 195 calories, so I have been counting it into my 1200 (give or take) calories a day, and have lost 3.5 lbs in 3 weeks. Sometimes I just use one scoop. But 2 scoops in 300ml water makes a nice thick shake. I'm really pleased because I don't feel like I have deprived myself of anything. Over the three weeks I have still had a pub dinner and a chinese take away, and I have scoffed loads of chocolate this weekend as it was easter lol. So to say I have lost 3.5 lbs I am pretty chuffed. I originally ordered the 1kg on 15/3/2013, I noticed this morning I probably only have another couple of days worth so I have just ordered the 2kg. I use the PhD mixball shaker which really knocks out the lumps and makes a nice thick shake. PhD Nutrition Mixball Shaker I use the 'Femme' one which is smaller, but this bigger one is cheaper at the moment. I will stick with the Strawberry flavour as I quite like it now. I can see me having this for breakfast for the forseeable future. ***UPDATE 25/5/13*** Still using the Dietfuel as meal replacement most days for breakfast, and some days for lunch too. Have now lost 8lbs since 15/3/13. I'm finding it really really easy, the cravings for bad food are very few now, I used to be a chocoaholic but I hardly think about it now. I still have the odd 'treat' meal every week at the pub or takeaway. I suppose if I stopped this completely I would lose more weight faster, but I only have about another 5 or 6 lbs I want to lose and I'm in no hurry. I have just ordered another 2kg strawberry and a 1kg choc to try. Not as keen on the choc as the strawberry, but I might try adding a spoon of cocoa powder or vanilla essence or something. Extra cals I know, but I'm not following a strict diet anyway. I will continue to use Dietfuel even after I've reached my target weight, as it seems to really be changing how I eat, and fills me up really well.

I order the strawberry 2kg tub. The taste is fine, quite nice. It is thick once mixed but if you add more water its fine. It's filling and keeps hunger away unril your next meal. I havent seen any dramatic results as far as weight loss goes personally. I workout every day which involves cardio routine & then swimming. I have maintained my weight so im kicking the my fitness routine up a notch by introducing a couple of spin/rpm classes per week on top of my normal routine & i hope together with USN ultra lean diet shake i will start to see some better results in terms of weight loss. I have notice that if i have one of my shakes just before working out my endurance is increased & i feel like i can work out for longer & harder so that a good thing. As a meal suppliment it's great & filling, but for me at the moment im not currently seeing pounds dropping off on the scale. I am yet to get the measuring tape out but in areas of my body i do notice change in shape and muscle tone. I am persisting with USN on the hope that once my workout routine is increase another notch that hopefully i will see more benefits from the shakes in terms of noticable weight loss in pounds!

My last weightloss journey I went with the well advertised Huel, I found it gritty bitty and a few flavours rubbish. I done a search for meal replacement and this came up, just took delivery of it today and thought I'll try with water today milk tomorrow. With water it is 200 calories with milk around 400 calories. Don't need to worry about the milk, with water it is amazing and it has a thick Consistency and flavoursome. I can't speak for it's filling properties as I'm currently on Mournjaro (ref code RXB1AP at medexpress) and that suppresses my appetite but after losing 3stone rapidly I have hit the gym and wanted to increase my muscle mass and protein intake and this is perfect. Will update more after a longer use but that first use was incredible compared to what I used to use and much better value for money than the well known brand. Glad I've subscribed with this product as I know it's going to help on my weight loss/muscle building journey.
