2 x Olympic Barbell Lock Jaw Clamp Collars CrossFit

Bought in Nov 2015, locked and unlocked many times per day on daily basis, and they still clamp the barbell tight. Having said that, I only do the standard barbell movements where the barbell is horizontal, and my deadlift hasn't progress to a stage where the barbell is at any risk of bending at all.These collars do slip a bit on deadlifts if you put the barbell back down less than gently with more than a couple of plates on each end, but this happens with spring collars too with even less weight.I'd never go back to spring collars or screw-in collars, these lockjaw-style collars are so much easier to use and great relative value for money given the longevity and small price difference.

They are simple, compact, decent build quality, and are holding up after some months use. Seem to lock on securely enough in normal use, though I have not tried for instance tipping the bar to vertical with a heavy plate on. Only slight reservation is whether the locking mechanism will wear. It seems to be a plastic catch with fairly little bearing surface and you do wonder if it may round off and loosen at some point after a lot of use. However it has not so far. Much, much better than those infuriating spiral spring locks. Not at all the equal of the traditional rotating mechanism metal olympic collars, but then, its cheaper, lighter and faster to change.If you are training for fitness and need something to keep the weights on a curl bar, while for instance you do curls or pullovers or triceps extensions, this will do very well. Or if you are doing cleans or overheads with the olympic bar. I would be inclined to go for the metal ones for serious power or olympic lifting however.

I'm delighted with these. For the price, I wasn't sure if I should expect too much, but I've had them for a month now and they are fantastic. They are so easy to get on and off the barbell- it takes one second and can be done with one hand. If you're like me and the spring clamps leave you more exhausted than the lift by the time you've got them on and off, you'll love these clamps! I wondered if they would survive for long- they are plastic and although they seem sturdy, I wondered what would happen when a heavy barbell was dropped. They've been absolutely fine, they look just the same as when I bought them with no wear and tear at all despite being dropped at 200kg+ by some of the guys in the gym. They also don't shift like the spring clamps do sometimes after a few lifts. Everyone in the gym has enjoyed using these and I know my coach is planning to buy some himself. Highly recommended, an excellent price for an excellent product.

These are hands down the best barbell locks I have ever used. Not only in a home gym context but anywhere!They are so easy to use, they are robust, fast and very, very strong. Securing them and taking them off the barbell is so easy and really is a flick of a lever.As for strength, whereas holding a dumbell vertically with any more than 20kg each side using standard locks usually results in the locks slipping and occasionally the weights falling off - never a nice experience half way through a set. But with these there is no slippage at all and I've easily managed double the weight of standard locks and no fear of them slipping.To class product. I'll never be without a set again!

Used these regularly for a while and they perform perfectly. I can't say what they'd be like under constant battering though, but they certainly seem to be fine with my personal use (I keep them in my gym bag, use them, and take them home again).

Great olympic clamp, easy to use, they hold the plates securely, irrespective of how much weight is on the bar. I bought two pairs, to fit onto a pair of thick grip dumbbells, I am easily able to load 50 kg onto each dumbbell and still secure the plates. Very happy lifter.

Decided to change from the standard spring clips supplied with an olympic bar to these lock jaw collars. Great choice, was a bit dubious at first regarding quality but when they arrived that soon changed. Very quick delivery arrived 2 days after ordering. i would definitely buy from them again.
