Hot red turned out blush. This is after the 2nd application. Looks amazing when on until it's rinsed out and this is the colour left. I left the colour on for 40mins the first time and 30mins the second....not any darker.

I got different colors of this brand so I could do my dogs tail in rainbow. All of the other colors came in semi permanent except for the red which only came in permanent, however they all tend to fade very slowly and I just refresh every 4-6 weeks. If you’re looking for a color that washes out over time, this is not it, but if you like fun bright colors and can handle waiting for it to grow out, then it’s great!

This product works great! To get the vibrant red you must use a LOT of dye and make sure everything is super saturated. It’s a learning process. With that being said, make sure you don’t be an idiot like me and WEAR GLOVES. The dye does stain skin and is near impossible to get off. If you really don’t want to wear gloves, I recommend getting a different color than red so you don’t look like you just committed a crime.

I've had very positive experiences in the past with the opaws dye.The permanent red color has been in my dog (and my hair, so we match) for 7 months and is still visible as an orange/pink now with fading.The semi permanent purple is a beautiful color that lasts about 1.5-2 weeks.Sadly the 2 blue colors I ordered faded out within 4-6 days of application.The green washed out instantly. Only one section of green was barely visible after his shower. All color went straight down the drain.After this last experience with opaws blue and green color dyes I am going back to using food coloring and conditioner to dye my dogs hair!But the red works FOREVER!

So I decided to use this on my Pomeranian I did a patch test and everything was fine, I got the red Tube and when I did it and everything it turned out hot pink. MAKE SURE you wear gloves and be careful how you apply the dye I used some bags to not get it in places I didn’t want it to be.

It was a $20 laugh, but I could have laughed for less money with a cheaper product. Ordered “Hot Red” and as it comes out of the tube, yes it is red, but I now have a haphazardly colored flamingo terrier. Good thing we aren’t entering a beauty contest. Not sure how long it will last, especially since it’s already pretty faded. Living in the country, we also don’t wash dogs often.The cat was scared of her though, so that added to the laughter. Oh, and the dog sitter.... 🤣
