Premium hair dryer and styling kit
I have to say, this is one impressive hair dryer and set of compatible attachments for various styling needs. I found the dryer itself not to be too heavy to use and it pushes a truly amazing amount of air for something this size, much more than I expected. Hair drying time? Minutes at the most. Way better than my old bargain-basement Conny, which will likely be relegated to the guest bathroom. The extra attachments are great, and I've already used the round brush, diffuser, and the curling wand ends, and all work well on my hair. (I didn't try the flat brush, concentrator, or anti-frizz tool yet.) I appreciate the storage case, too, which makes it easy to keep everything organized and in my opinion, there's enough room in the case if you want to store a clip or two, or maybe some scrunchies or whatever. Maybe even some small hair product supplies, like the oil I sometimes use. To be fair: This is NOT a cheap hair dryer and styling system. I got mine during a Prime sale, making it much more affordable. That said though, this is one heck of a dryer and associated gear and I expect to be using it for a long time to come. It's the classic "quality requires a higher price-point" issue, but in this case, I think it was worth it.

I love this styling tool and will be getting rid of my others
What I love most about this Shark FlexStyle system is that it takes the place of so many other tools I own. Now I have one system that can blow-dry my hair, with or without a diffuser or concentrator, and can create curls or loose waves, or just add shaping and volume if I want to wear my hair straight. It's not very heavy and is so easy to use. The quality is superb, and it should last a long time since it is impossible to get my hair tangled up in the air intake, which is what usually ends old-school hair dryers. I can adjust airflow speed and heat level, so I don't have to worry about heat damage. It can also dry my hair very quickly. I have long, thick, wavy/curly hair that I often like to wear straight, and this one tool can do all of that, and fast. I have never been one to spend much time on my hair, but this one tool makes it fast and easy to make my hair literally look like I went to a salon for a blowout. It's awesome, and it's going to save me a lot of space too because it will replace several other tools that I already own. Well worth it for me!

Great for the unskilled, or to cut styling time
Just got this today. Initial review- - Dries hair FAST, I have very fine hair but a LOT of it, and this dried my hair in maybe half the time of a regular dryer - I dried my hair on the next to lowest heat setting- it didn’t burn my head at all but was still very effective at drying - I used the curling rods (comes with 2, one for left side and one for right side of head) and was pretty pleased with how easy they were to figure out See attached photos- for context, I used no products in my hair to combat frizz or add volume, etc. Had just washed my hair and was excited to test this out. Blow dried my hair until it was about 85% dry, and then grabbed a few sections to test the curling rods. I literally half-a**ed this and only curled a small number of sections in my hair, so just know that if you spend more than literally 6 minutes curling your hair with this, I think it’ll look ten times as good. This thing isn’t too heavy, and the attachments are very easy to switch out (they do have a locking mechanism so they don’t fall out while you’re using them). A lot of people have commented on the volume, but honestly- it doesn’t sound any louder to me than a typical blow dryer? The noise is slightly more high pitched than a normal dryer, so maybe that’s what people don’t like, but after 5 seconds of using it the sound literally became white noise to me. Honestly, I think it’s quieter than most hotel dryers. My one complaint isn’t really a complaint, I just didn’t read and realize that there’s a different curling wand for each side of the head. So you’ll basically curl one side of your head, then swap out the rod and curl the other side. I kind of wish it was just one rod to do the whole head, but with how they’re designed that wouldn’t work (unless you didn’t care about which way the curls face.) Each rod is clearly marked on the end with an L or an R so there’s no guesswork. As someone who loves to have nice hair but is infinitely lazy and unskilled with a curling iron or round brush, this seems like it was very well worth the purchase for me. If you’re already a pro at doing hair, you might not get as much use out of this set, but for me I’m very happy with the purchase. I chose this over the dyson because of the price point, but also because I’ve owned other products (vacuums lol) from each brand and I’ve found Shark products to be more reliable and dependable than Dyson stuff. Update: two weeks in and I’m loving this. Surprisingly, my favorite attachment is the round brush. It’s so easy to use that with the dryer to dry my hair and give it volume so my roots aren’t so flat. This thing also travels well- when you straighten out the dryer barrel, this was super easy for me to fit in my carry on bag and then I just threw the paddle brush attachment in my backpack. Easy peasy and I was able to use it to keep my hair looking full and lovely on a long weekend trip to the lake. Very happy with this purchase. Edit 2- 2 month update. I freaking love this thing. I actually don’t use the curling wands very often- I’ve been using both brush options to get volume and even curls in my hair. I’ve never been skilled (or patient) at doing my hair but this thing has been pretty much a game changer for me. Walked out of the house the other day looking like I had just gotten my hair professionally done, felt like a goddess.

I LOVE THIS HAIR TOOL!!!
Firstly, let me address some of the odd reviews I've seen. Yes, it gets hot enough for people with naturally curly hair to also get their hair straight and smooth or straight and bouncy with the attachments. It allows people with thick or course hair to use the curling barrels. If you think that makes it dangerous, you maybe shouldn't operate any appliances that get hot without adults supervision. This tool comes with a styling guide telling you the ideal average setting for each thing and how to adjust it for your hair type. Thinner hair, turn the heat down by one, frizzier hair, turn down the air by one, thicker coily hair, turn the heat up by one, etc. It is not the responsibility of any hair company to learn your hair type for you and make a tool especially for you at the same price of a mass-marketed tool for people who can figure out their hair type BEFORE buying things for said head of hair. Also, something not getting hot doesn't make it better for your hair. You can ruin a meal by slowcooking it, you can ruin clothing by putting it in the dryer on low heat for a really long time, you can slowcook your hair by using low heat when you shouldn't and using it a longer period of time than you should need. I can't imagine why this isn't a normal chain of logic but it isn't so here we go! I got the T3 Aire 360 first but, because this was only $20 more and came with all of these attachments, I knew I needed to try it and compare. Well, I kept doing one side of my hair with T3 and one with this tool and they never did look very different. The Shark side had more volume but wasn't as smooth, so okay, hit it with a little Amalfi Gold Hair Serum. The T3 side was smoother but didn't have as much volume so, okay, hold at the roots longer. However, the T3 brush did NOT get my roots all the way to the scalp, so there was still waviness at the root and I hated it. The Shark Flexstyle performed BEAUTIFULLY in that using the oval brush attachment got everything unless it was an area I couldn't see as well, and then going over those areas with the paddle brush attachment fixed it without me having to get out a flat iron. The wands do a nice job and they last longer, the shape that they create lasts 3 days the way I do it, which is a little involved but works nicely. And hey, I only have to do it twice a week so I try not to complain about it. However, their barrels are short. I will be ordering more attachments, including the thinner barrels to go along with all of these, but I'm knocking off a full star for the fact that the main Coanda hair tool manufacturers have all figured out the beauty of longer barrels and Shark still has to catch up on that point. The longer barrels don't make a better curl, but they make it a bit easier to do a lot of long hair, and I have SO MUCH hair! Again, not expecting a custom-made hair tool for the price of a mass-marketed one, but the other guys have figured out longer barrels, Shark can catch up annnnny day now. All in all, I LOVE this tool and find use for all of the attachments. I have even used to diffuser, though I have found curl training and diffusing to be tediously task-heavy and time consuming. Nevertheless, it's so great to finally have a tool that has a diffuser attachment for times when I want to have my curls. I recommend this highly and really hope to see longer barrels one day.

!! Don’t Wait! Buy Now!
I have the black cherry set. I cannot express enough how much I wish I had purchased this FlexStyle System sooner!!! Every single attachment works amazing! My hair is medium length, wavy, and thick. I can use the flat brush and completely dry my hair from towel dry to completely dry and silky straight in 10 minutes or less! I have NEVER been able to achieve the shine or straightness that I can with this tool! I also have to brag about the curling ability - usually my curls will fall out in a matter of minutes even with hair spray. Using this tool my hair maintains the body all day and without excessive hairspray. My husband, friends, co-workers, and family continuously compliment my hair. This is lighter weight than my old hair dryer and dryer with built in round brush from a well-known brand… This tool is so easy to use I don’t have the urge to pull it up and skip drying my hair which used to be a solid 20 minutes and if straightening it - even longer. I’d like to add that I even used this tool style a good friends hair for her wedding day - she loved it so much she now owns one too!

Shark or Dyson !?
liking the Shark so far! I also have the Dyson airwrap and I know these two products get compared a lot, so here are some pros and cons for both if you were deciding between the two! First and foremost, my Dyson I’ve had for about 2 years and within the last month it just flashes red and turns off I’ve deep cleaned it, but no luck. There is not a Dyson repair shop very close to me (about 1 hour away) sooo I decided to buy the Shark because I heard that it is better and I need a styler that I can rely on (it’s the only tool I use on my hair). Here is my honest takeaway Weight: the shark is significantly more heavy than the Dyson. I have carpal tunnel and I’ve noticed with the shark my hands get sore and I need to take some breaks or massage my hands after Attachments: i only received the attachments that came with this order and I’m sure if I ordered off the website I could have got more. I wish the shark came with a smaller round brush, but they make up for it with their smoothing brush I honestly find myself just using this to create a blow out look. Temperature: the Shark gets HOT! I’ve noticed that my hair looks like it has a little bit of heat damage since using the shark, so I’ve been using it on its lowest heat setting to try and help out. But the shark does get a lot hotter than the Dyson. In my personal opinion… I don’t care either way. I like that the Dyson doesn’t get too hot because it forces me to be more gentle on my hair. I have noticed my hair gets caught a lot in the shark, so I’m trying to be a bit more careful not to put it so close to where the attachment connects. For your money… I would probably say buy the shark. My Dyson decided to act up 2 years into having it and for that cost (600) it really should not be doing that. Hopefully 2 years down the line with the shark this won’t be an issue, but only time will tell. These devices are a great way to keep your hair healthy so go for it!

Excellent Hair Tool
This is the best hair tool I have ever used. I have curly frizzy hair that takes forever to dry. I dread wash day. This styler cut my dry time by at least 10 minutes and the round brush tool makes it so much easier than killing my arms holding a heavy hairdryer and brush. It is lightweight and powerful and leaves my hair smooth and shiny. I’m still getting used to the styling curling wand but even with no skill I’ve managed to put some curls in my hair and look decent. I would highly recommend this tool and am so happy with my purchase. Just buy it!
