Good results with little effort
Bought this iron to replace a well known brand steam generator iron as the previous iron saturated clothes in hot water, not steam.I used this iron for the first time today. The iron is light, in weight, to hold. It didnt take long to get to temperature (a few minutes). It glides easily over the clothes and the end result is well ironed clothes for very little effort.I really like the safety clip to make sure the iron cannot move whilst heating up (this feature wasn't on the last iron and I had to pay meticulous attention to make sure I didn't burn myself or cause a fire or heat damage due to the iron sitting "free" on its stand)I found the instructions easy to follow and the dials are labelled with easy to follow language.Although this iron is expensive, I feel I've made a good investment for a quality product, which I hope will last me a long time.

Fab Time Saver
I love this iron - you can get through tough ironing (i.e. linens) at a fraction of the time. The constant fill feature is great and works, the iron temperature regulation is great and the steam pulse is strong enough to remove really tough creases with ease. I've used it vertically for curtains etc and the steam jet is strong enough. Only issue I've had is with the limescale plug- make sure its back on tight otherwise next time you turn the iron on jets of steam & water come pulsing out the side.

Sturdy with a powerful spray of steam.
Bought to replace my old Breville that eventually gave up after many years of service. The Tefal is definitely more powerful producing a forceful spray of steam such that for thinner garments, it is sufficient to only iron on one side (assuming you have the appropriate ironing board). This save time and money!A slight negative is that the hand unit is heavier than my previous iron. If one is of smaller stature, you may find the hand unit a bit heavy or awkward after prolonged use. You may want to actually see and feel the unit physically before purchasing if this is a concern. Otherwise, build quality seems good and I would recommend the unit.

Great!
Bought this to replace my standard iron. Works really well, I like the fact you can lock the iron down after use plus tidy away the cables. Have to use a jug to fill the water tank but the tank is quite large so not a chore for what I need. Still hate ironing but this makes it less of a chore and seem to get through my ironing pile quicker.

Good sized water tank & easy limescale solution
Love the tank capacity and that limescale is easily dealt with. Only recently received the iron but so far so good. Used for domestic ironing.

Can’t see what more expensive steam generators can possibly offer!
Does Everything as advertised and more, with controllable temperature and independently controllable steam, which is not always found on other models. This allows delicate fabrics to be ironed without scorching. The removable de-calc rod from the tank to decalcify seems to be unique and allows standard tap water to be used and declared in the guide. The steam pulse button is extremely effective and is confined to a small group of vents only at the apex. All leads have well designed storage slots and carried by the locked down iron handle, but if the water level in the tank is at its highest some will spill out when carried. Not filling right to the brim is a simple solution.

bulky
i did not anticipate the size of the generator. but although bulky it does not moved around. it steams effectively even on the eco setting. the 1.7 ltr tank is plenty big enough for the ironing. it does not lose steam power, it just keeps going. the two hour wait for it to cool down means small kids need watching. it is working very well

stopped working after 10 weeks
17/06/19 UPDATE - product returned for a refund as it stopped working / no longer making steam after 10 weeks of moderate use.Shame, as I had been happy with its ironing performance. Amazon really great re: refund or repair offered. I took the refund & paid £100 more to replace it with a Polti (also has a higher 450gm steam shot). Phillips Elite has best review on Which, but I couldn’t justify that price.Original review:Bought this as it states how much pressure it generates & it is high enough for moving through 1000tc cotton sheets & linen shirts like butter. Literally a joy to iron & I have started ironing things I’ve never ironed before (like my sheets!!)Only problem is customer support - I emailed them to find out what occasionally causes it to throw out some brown water but I have not had any help / response. I wash it off straight away & its fine, but there must be a technical reason this is happening that I would like to fix as I love the machine. It’s brand new so it’s not a limescale or cleaning problem, so there must be another reason. Any one out there have an answer I wonder? I’ll post a question & see what other owners have found, or if they had any more luck with customer service.
