Volumatic Spacer Device,for use with Allen & Hanburys inhalers

This volumetric spacer device works for my husband he uses inhalers we bought this as a spare it just allows him to inhale without a problem, it's light weight value for money and easy to use

Very useful for improving inhaler use. I struggled to get technique right for using inhalers and never felt like they were working as I wasn't getting a good lung full before coughing it out. Spacers like this changed everything for me they make taking an inhaler feel like normal breathing. Eventually these get worn and dirty so need a good clean. But I've found that a quick run though the dishwasher works. Used to get these from the chemist but cheaper online here and easier. I bought a spare to keep in the car and one for work. Works with your standard blue and brown inhalers with the rectangular mouth piece.

I bought this as a backup for the one I already use. These are really excellent spacers and for me are superior to the more modern smaller ones. They really disperse the drug well so that there is much less likelihood of problems in the mouth and throat from a thrush infection from steroid inhalers. I get the feeling that these rather old fashioned looking devices may not be around for much longer so as a "just in case", that's why I purchased a second one. But they are well made, easy to clean/wash inside and will probably last forever provided not dropped!

I can only use this particular spacer though I have tried others . I find the Volumatic very easy to use and it was prescribed for my use when I was diagnosed with Severe COPD several years ago . Its easy to clean also ...requiring a wash in rinse through in washing up liquid and water and then a thorough rinse in clean water . Leave to drain. I purchased this item as replacement for one that my daughter knocked of the kitchen drainer . This is lightweight , see through and the sound of the inhalation valve as you breathe in lets you know that you are doing it the right way . I also see the Volumatic as a very handy means of storing my inhalers ( which you will see in the photo ) so that all of my breathing kit is together. Fabulous product that I swear by . As stated , its lighweight , easily cleaned , will store inhalers and is very reliable and gives ease of use . I have also found that it can be portable enough to be carried in a bag if you need to go out . The two sections do come apart . I will definately and always will give this item five stars. It also arrived quicker than date stated upon purchase too Great * * * * *

Didn’t know I needed to change one that I had had for 5 years. What a difference. There are also great instructions for the care and easier use of it.

It's good for what it is required for in helping to lessen the amount of thrush that some patients may get when using some of their inhalers.
