Leuchtturm1917A5 Medium Some Lines a Day 5 Year Memory Book - Black

I have filled in this diary every day for the full five years, and I can honestly say it is so worthwhile, satisfying and beneficial for your all-round wellbeing to stick at it! It is fantastic to look back at the same day over the past few years, each time you write an entry. I fill my pages with plenty of writing (it being unlined works well for me; I can write very little some days or squeeze lots in on other days). It is sturdy and is in very good condition even after five years of daily use. I also use stickers in my book and have filled the back pocket with extra slips of paper, etc, too. I use ballpoint pens, highlighters or fine liner ink type pens in my diary which are great, but on the very odd occasion I have used fine point Sharpies (the ones designed for handwriting) which do bleed through. Really though, I love having a record of the past few years and I will be ordering the exact same book again very soon to complete over the next five years!

A little bit bigger than expected but very good quality and feels very substantial. Seems like it will last the test of time.

This is a fantastic undated five-year diary (I have no idea why Amazon is calling it a book journal). The paper is thick enough to take most inks and there is a decent amount of room to write each day. I do wish the pages were lined as I have messy handwriting. I think this is a very good quality diary for a great price. In fact, there aren't many competitors at this price point. The Midori and Hobonichi five-year diaries are lovely but scarily expensive. The other five-year diaries I have seen are generally smaller and the paper isn't such good quality.

This is a great product. I have been using it since 1st Jan this year. I use fountain pens to write, and the paper quality is excellent for that. The space provided is just perfect to write a few highlights of your thoughts for the day. I am really glad I bought this... and started using it. In my experience, Leuchttrum 1917 makes the best notebooks / journals / diaries if you’re a fountain pen user. This 5 year journal is no exception. I needed something that’s of a very high quality, especially if I plan on writing in it for the next 5 years! This book ticks every box for me!

Absolutely beautiful quality notebook. It has a lovely leather effect cover in blue-green. The paper is good quality and very thick. I write in fountain pen and it doesn’t bleed. It does slightly show through the other side of the paper but isn’t a problem. It has two cloth bookmarks and an elastic strap to keep it closed. You can also buy a pen holder to put on the cover which I’ve found really useful. It’s A5 size which is much bigger than similar 5 year diaries I’ve seen. I can write 4-5 lines for each day.

I like the idea, there's sufficient space for a few lines. The notebook can almost be opened flat. You may want to put a book cover on it / put a plastic adhesive layer on to make sure it'll last 5 years.

I wanted to let people know the pages are NOT lined. One of the 'questions' above is 'are the pages lined' and the top answer shown says 'yes' they are lined. I didn't read any further answers, to my error, as the other replies say 'no' the pages are not lined. I wanted lined. However now I have bought it I will give it a go even though there are no lines as I realise you can vary the line spacing depending how much you have to write on a particular day. It is a good solid product and I now look forward to using it.

I bought this as a present for our daughter. She wanted something she could write down her thoughts or events in a few sentences. She especially loves the fact this journal is for 5 years. She is about to go to college and she is looking forward to keep journaling her experiences and be able to look back during those years.

My second 5-year journal. It's a good practice to sit daily and think for a moment what few words are telling the story of your life. If after a few weeks, you don't like what you're seeing, you get to change something. And it's often how you look at things. For me, it helped me find patterns - emotional and mental, that were keeping me stuck or unhappy.I also found that in an age where every thing changes so fast, it's grounding to be committed to one practice, one journal for a full five years.

I have been using this journal since 2021 and it still looks great! The cover and the binding are holding up well. The pages are a light ivory color which is pleasing to the eye and each section is about 1 7/8". It is small enough (A5) that I can keep on my desk, so I don't forget to use it.I use this to record the temperature and weather, significant news events, a memory from the day like weddings, births, funerals, home projects we are working on, a quote, or just a synopsis of the day. The spacing allows for me to write 3-5 sentences to summarize or capture the day. I tape concert tickets, souvenir stickers from places we traveled, or pictures to the inside covers and beginning pages. The gusseted pocket in the back is also great to hold cards or keepsakes.It is neat to go back and look at what was happening on that same day in a different year. I alternate between blue and black ink each year to help see the distinction between the years.I don't have any kids, but it would be great to capture events of children growing up - funny moments or significant milestones.I will definitely buy another one when I finish this one in 2025!

It's a great product, already enjoying using it. It is well made and I'm confident will hold up over the five years it will be used. I regularly use leuchtturm 1917 note books and I love them!! This is no different.

Dieses 5-Jahres-Tagebuch ist nicht das erste Produkt von Leuchtturm, dass ich habe. Auch meine Kalender sind jedes Jahr wieder von Leuchtturm. Ich mag das Design und die Seitenaufteilungen sehr. Das Papier wirkt sehr robust und der Einband mit der dezenten Schrift gefällt mir auch sehr gut. Da ich sehr klein schreibe wird das Buch vermutlich 10 Jahre reichen, da ich immer nur die Hälfte des Platzes für das jeweilige Jahr benötige. Ich war mir zunächst nicht sicher, ob ich wirklich dazu kommen werde jeden Tag etwas zu schreiben, aber da es nur kurze Sätze sind klappt es (noch) erstaunlich gut. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.
