I put healing salve in them and have never had one rust

so aside from salve has anyone used these for a soap product, if so have they rusted?

I never have but I've used them for solid moisturizer bars and hearts. They keep well and have never rusted. I have even used them for shea mixed with aloe and they didn't rust. Check all measurements because some tins are taller, wider etc and look the same, but they are not.

Has anyone used these for candles and what wick size did you use

I've used them the last 7 years for solid moisturizing salves that contain wax and oil. They work really well. I would use a wick that is no more than the height, perhaps a couple mm less
