While I would recommend my Road pro lunch box over the Kooltron verson..... My new Road pro unit just does not heat the same ...at all

The plug overheats and literally melts and has burned me. At first, I thought it was a fluke but I’ve purchased several and no matter which vehicle I’ve used it in, the same thing happens. If it would not melt and burn me, it would be great.

My husband works in construction and this seemed like a nice heavy duty lunch box to heat up lunch but also be able to sit in the tractor all day. It warmed his food in a decent amount of time and the outward casing was durable. The inside trays were awful. They came out before the first use when doing the first cleaning. They are only held in by the rubber around the edges and when the tray is pressed in it bends and pops out. The edges of the silver trays are sharp and left some very deep cuts on my fingers when washing or reinstalling. It took 10-15 minutes to reinstall after each washing and even after that they would not go in correctly. After several months of fighting with this thing I finally threw it away and it felt great. Worth telling my husband he would be eating cold lunches until a new lunchbox arrived.

I bought this item and, within a week or so, the plug cap melted. Im lucky I spotted that or who knows..my vehicle could of caught fire. The plug was burning hot. I returned it for a new one, so I thought. When I got it, I saw tool marks on the plug cap. I figured ok, they sent it, it must work. 23 minutes into using it, I unplugged it. They say, use from 20-30 min max. I looked at the plug...it was burning hot and, the cap cracked and was melted again. All they did was take someone else's faulty purchase, put a new cap on it and sent it to me. The idea with this item is great but, there is something seriously wrong with the function. The plug can't stand the heat created from plugging it in. They need better plastic or different wires or whatever. This is dangerous...if you dont pay attention, you might just burn up your vehicle...junk product, don't buy.
