Item works as advertised, wouldn't want to wear all day though
** Disclaimer ** I do NOT have a specialized $10+k spectrophotometer (laser tester) to make sure these are in fact OD6, so I'll just have to make a reasonable guess that the manufacturer isnt lying. But I can opine in other ways! So, as I stated above I do not have the necessary lab equipment to test the lens for OD6, but I think that after wearing these for a couple of days now I believe they are of a higher OD rating than the glasses that came from the laser manufacturer. For argument sake, this part is subjective in nature. Although this has nothing to do with the OD rating, I also looked at comfort of the glasses and the wearability - can I continue working with these glasses on or does the color, comfort etc get in the way. My methodology for testing these items is as follows:1) Comparing the eye strain of these glasses to the older pair (from laser company).A) Time worn :vs: Eye StrainB) Subjective pain level in eyes2) I currently have several large laser jobs that are being done so it is normal for me to be wearing these glasses for 5+ hours at a time because ive already had one burn up on me while I left the laser running a long job.A) comfort of glassesB) color of lenses right for working on other itemsLet's go through these items one by one. First, 1A) Time worn :vs: Eye strain. One of the reasons I bought thes glasses is because I would have a headache that I believe was from the glasses that were included with the laser I have, not filtering out enough of the laser light waves - BTW, there are green lenses on the old pair. It may not be helpful that I had new lenses put in my eyes several years ago due to cataracts. While wearing this new pair, with the orange lenses, it appears that the headaches are not nearly as strong and don't last as long. So, subjectively, I believe the glasses are of a higher OD rating. I'm not sure if they make it all the way to OD6 but I believe they are doing a better job than the green lenses. 1B) pain in the eye comparison. As mentioned above, my headaches have diminished with these orange lenses. In turn, any eye discomfort I had while wearing the green lenses has also diminished with the orange lenses. 2A) comfort. These glasses are much more comfortable than the green lenses. I can wear them for extended periods without getting sore around the ears or nose. 2B) color of lenses ... I have to admit that this color took some getting used to (at least an hour or two). It wasn't bad at first, just really different than the green lenses. After a couple of hours though, I did get used to them. 2B) color right for working on other items. They do seem to make my surroundings much brighter as compared to the green ones. As with the green lenses, it can make working on drawings a challenge - having to ensure any colored layers are still visable. Working elsewhere in the wood shop doesn't seem to be an issue with either color either, pencil marks, rulers, etc can still be seen.To summarize, my eye strain appears to have diminished, these glasses are comfortable enough wearing for extended amounts of time and with minimal upfront changes - changing layer colors, these glasses can be worn while doing other tasks.Hopefully this has helped with decision!

Awesome glasses!
I really love these glasses! They are soooo much more comfortable than the cheap green glasses that came with my laser.I don't have the best eyesight at 60 years old and I want to preserve what I have! These are just what I needed and the price is well worth it. Recommend.

Did not take long to receive this after placing the order
Using these safety glasses provided a clearer and better view of the Lazer projects that I work on. They work better than the original glasses that came with the Lazer that I use.

Laser Safety Glasses 532nm OD6
works great for 532 nm laser. Doesn't provide full eye coverage....?? large gaps above and below eye allow errant light to get past the glasses. These are not fit for high power laser safety.
