The media could not be loaded. Very effective prism that casts dispersed sunlight into the colours of the rainbow. It is a very attractive piece as well - I have it on a window sill where it catches sunlight in the evening. It works best in full sun where the sun is still fairly low in the sky.

It’s a simple thing but very intriguing for the kids. We have science mad kids, well one in particular who is 8, and she has taken it into school for their light topic which was used in the classroom then now we position it in different places around the house to see who can come up with the best rainbow.It’s a very specific thing and not a cheap toy but it’s very well made, the edges are all immaculately polished and look perfectly flat and the corners are all rounded so there’s nothing sharp on it at all. A great little learning tool. Oh and it comes in a nice padded lined box to keep it in as well.

Things like this fascinate me. This is just a light prism and even just looking through. It is mesmerising. It’s a bit like one of those music tubes, you could get in toy shops back in the 1990s! It would be fascinating to use for photography, but also just for refracting light.It’s a very cool desk ornament for me at the moment but I have been playing around with it and think it’s great. It’s good quality and very clear. The size is good too and is about the size of a slim small pencil case. Really happy with it!

This triangular prism by NEEWER is perfect for use as a teaching aid when doing optical experiments, or for generating colourful photographic effects – make your own Pink Floyd album cover! This prism is six inches (15cm) long and is made in China from K9 crystal glass, which is a borosilicate crown glass; the K is from the German word for crown, and 9 = 9% lead – this type of glass has excellent optical properties making it ideal for products such as this. The presentation here is rather basic and the storage box is poorly made, which rather lets down an attractive product. Currently around seventeen pounds from Amazon this six inch prism is more expensive than many similar products and not as nicely presented – shop around for the best value on the day. Five stars for the quality of the prism itself, but three stars for value of the package gives an average rating of four stars from me.

The NEEWER Triangular Prism is exceptional quality for the money. The prism is flawless and if a prism is what you need, then you need a flawless one.The prism was delivered safe and sound in a lined box that I’ll continue to use to keep it safe. The glass is excellent quality but will pick up fingerprints like nobody's business, so if you’re using this to enhance photographic images, I recommend you get some cotton gloves.Paired with an appropriate light source you can get some striking effects for what is comparably not a lot of money.If you need a glass prism, this one is one of those, and a good one.

This is a cool item to have in the creative tool kitIt comes in a folding box for easy storage and has a cloth glass cleaner includedIt's around 6 inches and s perfect triangle you shine light through it to create rainbow effects or halo type glows in your photosIt's well made like everything I tried from Neweer I love loads of their products and this is another cool oneYou may have to play around with angles and different light sources to get the desired results but it's a great way to add extra lighting effects or detail to your content also inexpensivensive

This is an optically clear glass prism which can be used for a multitude of effects in photography.You can shoot through it to create optical distortions, or direct white light into it to scatter a rainbow over a product shoot.The light spectrum means it's ideal for teaching about light too.The packaging is somewhat lacklustre, a black box that doesn't close so you have to put it into the carboard slipcase, a piece of polyfoam covered in a silky/nylon black cloth that's not stuck down and is frayed (but does the trick of protecting the glass overall, and a nice cleaning cloth which unfortunately seems to make the prism quite the static dust magnet. Would probably be better coming in a cloth drawstring bag or something like that.The prism itself is of good quality glass and, as far as I can see is flawless. The optical effects you want won't be marred by defects.It's around 6 inches in length so takes up a bit of real estate in your kit bag, but if you are wanting to add something a little different to a shoot then it's great.You could even use this as a paperweight.

I am a photographer and a bit of a geek when it comes to things like this, so when I saw this prism on Amazon I just had to try it. The prism arrived fast and in good condition. Upon taking it out-of-the-box, the prism did feel heavier than expected, but being it's made of crystal glass it doesn't surprise me. Of course the first thing I did was grab some white paper take the prism over to the nearest window with the sun shining through. It didn't take much to get the angle just right and wow! just wow! I couldn't believe how vibrant the colors were that were coming off this thing. I had called my son over to have a look at it and he couldn't believe it either, we both thought this thing was pretty cool. All in all if you are also into these sorts of things, I think this is definitely a great buy, and at a good price, highly recommended. Se trata de un prisma de cristal de vidrio Óptico de la marca Neewer, marca de la cual tengo varios productos relacionados con la fotografía de los cuales estoy muy contento de los resultados y calidades, este prismas es muy claro y logra una perfecta refracción de la luz, es triangular y mide unos 15cm de largo, en principio el destino principal es usarlo en fotografías para conseguir efectos de la luz al separarse mostrándose todo el espectro de colores que forman el arcoíris.Utilizándolo en la fotografía se pueden conseguir efectos muy artísticos y originales, además de muy variados, ya sean de brillos, reflejos o imágenes como si fuera un caleidoscopio, va a depender mucho de la imaginación del fotógrafo pero vas a tener muchas opciones.Nos llega correctamente empaquetado y protegido en una cajita tipo estuche aparte, para guárdalo yo recomiendo envolverlo en alguna gamuza de microfibra para protegerlo de cualquier arañazo que pudiera afectar luego en la separación de los colores.Aparte de para fotografía, también puede servir para que los más pequeños vean como un rayo de luz se separa en los colores del arcoíris y esto es una cosa que les va a parecer mágico, y les va a llamar la atención.Respecto al precio me parece muy correcto ya que tiene mucha claridad y no he observado ningún defecto en la superficie del cristal, se le puede dar muchos usos hasta decorativo encima de la mesa como un pisapapeles diferente, pesa casi 300 gramos y me parece un accesorio muy divertido para lograr efectos muy curiosos con la fotografía, vale la pena tener uno para probar nuevos efectos.Muchas gracias por leerme. Works as advertised and is just the right size for use with photography. Also comes included with a micro cloth to keep the glass clean.
