This comb is beautiful and high quality, but very affordable. It combs my thick, curly hair perfectly without any static electricity. It is the perfect size and fits well in my hand and I can easily fit it into my purse or a large pocket.

When is a comb not just a comb? Well, I know it when I see it. This one is just beautiful, the color either side is slightly different. The piece I got is slightly curved -- which indicates to me that it is organic horn, and not perfectly flat like something from a factory. I tried the water test, and the comb did not float, unlike a plastic comb I tested it with. The color modulation is beautiful. The ultimate test: it feels so good on my hair and scalp, and does a nice massage as it smoothly combs through. It is dense and tends to tangle less. I immediately bought another piece (exactly the same) for my friend -- the bamboo ox one. I am planning to buy another but the price went up so I will wait.

I purchased "Horn Detangler Comb, PROTORIGEN Handmade Natural Buffalo Horn Fine Tooth Comb Anti-static, Hair Care, Scalp Massage for Women and Men.(Sawback Shape)" And I love this comb. I have very thin hair and where I live seems to create a lot of static. If I use this comb, there is no static. The comb feels great, has a nice weight, appealing design and quality. The only thing I could say bad about this comb is that I dropped it and the front tooth just broke off. :0( Anyone know how to put this back together without causing static or damage to the comb?

Not the quality I was expecting. My hair is dry, thin and delicate and to avoid static electricity and to have shiny hair I have been using horn combs for ever. One of the best brands come from Thomas Lierac, who is one of the last fabricant of horn combs made by hand. Unfortunately, they are difficult to find in the USA. I had big hopes ordering from this seller. I was surprised by the price so I gave it a chance. It is not what I want. I did not like the handle, the size is definitely too small and it would be better for a child hand. Visually, it was not the most attractive either, but then the most important in this case is the functionality: for me, no way it could work, but for a smaller hand, this comb would be easier to use.

I have never had a real ox horn comb before. I want to take good care of my hair so I bought this one. I was skeptical about this comb. I thought it was fake, so I did some tests to identify whether it is real or not. To compare it with a fake ox horn comp I have (the yellow one on the right) - sinking test: the fake one was floating while this one sinking. PASSED - burning test: I used a lighter and burn two spots. They turned ashes and smelled like barbecue. PASSED - static test: I rubbed both on a pair of jeans and tested them with small pieces of paper. The fake one attracted all of the pieces. This one didn’t. PASSED - weights: compared to the fake one, this one is heavier and sturdy. I am so glad that it is real. There are so many sellers selling fake ones. I am happy that I don’t have to return it. Get one for your hair.

The white yak comb's exterior is smooth and the coloration is beautiful. It measures longer than 8 inches long, the handle thickness is about 0.4 inches and thins out at the tip. The teeth feel smooth and slide comfortably on my scalp. It is beautiful and well-made. Please keep in mind that handcrafted items have a high degree of variation. Having said that, the white yak comb is just as described by their website and I enjoy using it. ❤️

Nice sometimes. Other times it snags on my hair. Pretty comb. Small enough to fit in a purse so I carry it with me to use when needed.

The comb itself it beautiful and the teeth feel great on the scalp. I bought it to reduce static when brushing my hair, so far so good. Only thing I can criticize is Amazon's handling of the item. I received the package in a brown paper envelope, but the yellow paper wrapping had a slash in it. Of course the slash went right through to the comb. Kind of upsetting but I will not return it as it does not impact the function of the comb. And yes you can tell it is organic material, not plastic, because the material splinters like your nails. I will try to smooth the rough edges in the meantime.

This is not made of ox horn. My hair got frizzy and I stopped using it.
