Soft cotton, form fitting, excellent liner
Purchased this to function as a liner under a synthetic balaclava. My skin reacts to tech gear, even low percentage content of polyester … but wearing a cotton inner garment allows me to wear gear that otherwise would not work for me.It would probably not work as a cold weather balaclava (<10F), but worn as a liner under a cold weather balaclava … it works exceptionally well. The design allows me to pull the part that would normally cover my nose and mouth down, so that I'm not trying to breath through two layers of material. Other designs would have been more difficult to do this.I use it under a synthetic balaclava that is designed to not fog ski goggles. On extremely cold and windy days, I'll wear the ski goggles when I run. Most balaclavas will cause your goggles to fog over, so I wear one that is designed to direct my breath away from the goggles … unfortunately, I can't find any made of Moreno wool (my preferred fabric) and fleece (polyester) is something my skin really hates. The solution? Wear a cotton balaclava liner … and this one works exceedingly well for that purpose.I don't need its fire retardant capabilities, but the design and construction are excellent, a quality product.

Great quality and value!
I bought this product for my husband who works in the oilfield. Being out in the elements a lot, he needed something to protect him from the cold while also being safe to use. The fabric is very soft and light but he says it's also very warm and doesn't get in the way of his work. The company itself reached out after our purchase to make sure we recieved the item which was refreshing. I would definitely recommend

Great protection without overheating.
As a man with a full beard, I was concerned with igniting my facial hair while working with heat and flame. I used this balaclava at an iron casting event in Memphis Tennessee in the late spring. It was not overly hot and offered ample protection for my face and neck. I was able to keep my nose exposed while wearing both safety glasses and a face shield so as not to fog my glasses and obscure my vision. Safety and peace of mind!

FR for the job...
I have a lot of hair so I need a larger size for the FR protection and this was perfect. It appears to be well-made and fits snug but not tightly.I use it outside during scrapping and plan on using the extra one for tight spaces.Great product and will definitely buy again when needed.

Very Tight
Pretty well made. I like that the FR label is attached to the outside so no one will question if it’s FR rated. It is however very tight on the the face and I am a pretty slim guy. 5’10” 145 lbs

Excellent Quality 100% Cotton lightweight Balaclava
Awesome product as advertised. Works very well with the extreme heat in UAE. I was looking for 100% cotton and I am so happy I found Texas FRC. Its better than the other synthetic material available on amazon with does not go very well with extreme high hot temperatures. It's a quality product. A+++ . Will buy more from Texas FRC!

Love it
After ordering it I was concerned that it might not fit as I have a large head. There was no size selection available. I was happy to find out that it fit perfectly and was amazingly comfortable.
