An excellently built stand, at a fantastic price
I don't write a lot of reviews on Amazon, but I felt I should write one about this bike stand. For the price, the quality is insane. It feels so sturdy, and the assembly instuctions are so well laid out. The stand itself really feels like a high end product, and holds my gravel bike with no issues. The height is fully adjustable and the little tray which holds tools (with an added magnetic strip for holing screws etc) is such a nice touch. The stand also collapses into a relatively small unit which easily fits into the garage or a storage cupboard and is very easy to manouevre because it doesn't weigh a lot. Honestly, don't spend hundreds on a stand - just get this. I'm so impressed with it, hence this review from someone who rarely feels the need to review products. Great price, fast shipping - just excellent.

Great stand
This is a very easy to assemble stand. I’ve assembled it is very stable and can easily hold my road bike (giant defy 0). I’ve not tried it with my heavier mountain bike but I can’t see why it would be an issue. My bike has a flat cross bar but the stand holds it securely. It also works well when holding by the seat stem. Once complete, it folds away into an easy to store size. Great value for money, good height adjustments and good quality. Good use for maintenance and cleaning

Well made and robust item.
The stand works well and importantly its well made with decent materials. Maybe a little expensive but everything to do with bikes seem to have gone through the roof. I use it to hold my largish mountain bike and it is very stable. Came with a stabilisation bar that took a while to get my head round but basically it holds the front wheel and stops it moving around. Anyway, would recommend this item.

I am in love with a piece of metal and plastic
You simply MUST buy this if, like me, you've spent an indeterminate amount of hours frustratingly trying to adjust your Shimano gears in some homemade Heath Robinson contraption that supports your bike whilst allowing the rear wheel and pedals to rotate. My homemade device was not bad truth be told but it is nothing compared to this. The unit comes delivered in a plain cardboard box with plastic straps and the ubiquitous "Made in China" but don't judge a book by its cover. Inside there are a number of polythene bags that contain the main body and legs (ready assembled), the horizontal arm and jaws and the red tray. Assembly takes about a minute; you pull/push the main body so that the legs open, kind of like opening an inverted umbrella. The legs open very wide for stability and you can lock them in place by tightening the blue knob near the joint with the body - just gently hand tight is plenty. Now the unit is stable you progress to the inside of the main vertical tube where you'll find an extending tube section which you pull up and fit to the horizontal arm (which has subtle knurling for grip). You then tighten the second blue knob on the vertical tube to the appropriate height for you to work at. Again it doesn't have to be mega-tight, just firm. Use your common sense *. The jaws open/adjust via a smaller knob and are plenty wide enough for large cross-section frames. See below. The red tray attaches via a hinged arm/knob to the main vertical tube (not the inner one). I found it best to have it at 90 degrees to the bike orientation otherwise it will foul with the pedals and you won't be able to get to it past the bike... At this point I'd like to say that the overall build quality and stability of the unit is fantastic. It really exceeded my expectations. The whole thing feels very solidly put together and the way that the legs extend and lock into position makes for a very wide and stable base - more info on this below. * Note that I have a good understanding of how things work/should work coupled with an appreciation of the limits of engineering hence I didn't try to tighten the knobs to the point of stripping the threads! My son's Carrera Crossfire 1 bike was the first patient. It has a quite large non-circular crossbar, about 3.5cm-4cm in diameter and it fitted very easily into the jaws with room to spare; once in the jaws you need to shuffle the bike gently left/right to the find the balancing point so it sits naturally balanced and then gently tighten the jaws. The Crossfire is a mid-weight bike but the stand held it very easily without the slightest hint of instability. The stand legs extend way past the centre of mass of the bike and I got no sense that there was any danger of it overbalancing. In fact, with the bike in place, I pushed down to simulate even more weight and again there was no hint of overbalancing or weakness. I must have pushed with at least another 15-20kg of force. Once the bike was in place and everything was firm I proceeded to work on it and for the first time in ages I was able to adjust both the front and back Shimano gears easily and with no swearing (well as easily as the laws of physics and Shimano gear design allow...). I even found the little red tray useful to hold my tools and the odd screw/nut at times. Once I was done with the bike (quickest time ever!) the stand folded up very easily - I left the horizontal arm and tray in-situ - and it simply went into the rafters in my garage. If you don't have the luxury of a garage then it would take a matter of moments to separate the pieces and lay them somewhere - an under stair cupboard would suffice. So, in summary, an extremely stable and well engineered piece of kit that has made the prospect of having to adjust my gears something to be savoured (kind of...) rather than dreaded. Very recommended. And, just to be clear, I bought this with my own money with no discounts... Please do take a moment to click the Helpful button if this review was of use to you. Thanks.

Sturdy and Great Value for Money
This is a very robust work stand, which gives an extremely stable platform. However, I am not convinced about the longevity of some of the plastic components. Having said that, who can complain at the price! I have already used it with my 24 kg Whyte E-mtb and it was exactly what I needed. The height adjustment is a real plus. I have two issues: 1. The 40 kg weight limit in the description is wrong. According to the manual, it is actually 30 kg. Fine for my use, but misleading for buyers. 2. I did not receive the telescopic bar, outlined as part of the package content. This is a nuisance, as there is no room to clamp on my frame due to the full suspension design. I am otherwise very happy with my purchase.
