MicrosoftXbox Black Wireless Controller, with Cable for Windows PC

Xbox controllers have been my go-to for a few years now. Works with everything. Comfortable to use for hours. Feels great in the hands. Just plug it in and go. Lasts for years of punishment. I appreciate Microsoft for bringing their console controllers to the PC, and raising the bar in this area.

I purchased this as I had been using a wired XB 360 controller for many years, and I felt it was time to upgrade to an XB One controller--while deciding to go wireless. I have a stockpile of rechargeable AA batteries on-hand, and will only see myself using the cable for configuring and/or firmware updates.When I initially bought this, I kept getting asked to enter PIN when trying to pair it with my PC. Turns out, after doing some digging, that you really need a Bluetooth 4.0 dongle. I was using a cheap-o dongle that I bought from a well-known discount/variety shop that sells everything for £1, maybe 6 years or more ago, and was/is likely Bluetooth 2.0. I ended up ordering, and recommend  Mpow Bluetooth 4.0 USB Dongle Adapter, Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver Supports Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista XP 32/64 Bit Laptop PC for Bluetooth Speaker, Headset, Keyboard, Mouse and More, Plug and Play . My review should show up there too. But hey, thanks to Amazon Prime 1-day delivery, I didn't have to wait that long.After finally getting it paired up with new dongle and no issues, ready to go--I did a few runs with "Mass Effect: Andromeda", "Assassin's Creed: Origins", "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty" (with the controller fix, and a few patches), "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Edition". I've also tried out a few other games with the key mapping software Padstarr, with the success being good.The feeling, layout, and tactile response is a dream in comparison to the Xbox 360 controller, in my opinion. I haven't experienced any noticeable latency while playing games thus far.I only ask myself "why didn't I get this sooner?".

Newer bt model, seems more plasticky/less durable than steam controller but pairs well with steam link.

Great product. Was a bday gift for my pal and he loves it. It's responsive, dual sticks are nice and firm and not loose, all buttons are responsive and don't stick. The dongle is a mad thing to get used to, but that's fine, just a different thing ya need to do when goin backwards and forwards from houses. But yeh it's all good.

Wired, this thing is great for my Windows 10 PC, just the level of sensitivity I like for racing games. When I put some batteries in and paired it over Bluetooth however, it was a real pain to get it to reconnect after powering the controller down and back up again, having to go through the repairing process almost every time.It's not a dealbreaker, it's just slightly poor software support!

I already have a wired controller with a 3.5mm jack for using xbox chat with friends while gaming, and for the directional sound feature on games like fortnite. I only bought this as a spare controller or to play some offline multiplayer with friends, but mine came with a 3.5mm jack as well, which was not even listed in the product description. Very pleased with this but will update my review if I experience any problems with the controller.

Bit expensive for just a controller.

I am leaving this review in the hope that it will help with confusion.If you are concerned that this controller is wireless and the cable like the old X360 controller play and charge kits only charge the battery. Don't be.This controller works on the PC without any batteries and just like a standard fused wired controller. You plug it in and it just works. Perfect with Windows 10.You also have the option of putting in batteries and connecting it up via Bluetooth if you do want wireless.The controller was delivered in perfect condition and on time.The controller works and feels perfect and you will not be disappointed in your purchase.

Les boutons sont bien placés et facilement accessibles.〰️Les joystick réagissent précisemment en fonction de la pression que l'on exerce dessus, ce qui est indispensable de nos jours et donne une meilleure immersion dans les jeux (exemple: diriger une voiture ou un cheval)〰️Concernant, la connectivité et la batterie : La manette est livrée avec un câble de chargement qui peut aussi servir de câble quand on ne veut pas activer le bluetooth. En revanche la manette est livrée sans piles. La manette pour fonctionner en wifi ou bluetooth, nécessite des piles ou une batterie, c'est dommage que ce ne soit pas livré avec vu le prix.〰️Sinon la manette possède le mode vibrant pour plus d'immersion suivant les jeux.〰️Le logo xbox s'allume en blanc quand on l'utilise, mais je le trouve un peu éblouissant quand je joue dans un environnement sombre.

Olvídate de mandos compatibles, lo digo por experiencia. Este mando es fabuloso, un poco caro -48€, pero vale la pena. Conecta con el bluetooth integrado del portatil en win10 y unas pilas normales o recargables o con cable y -SE SUPONE- con cable en otros sistemas -en linux SE SUPONE que con cable tambien-. La sensibilidad es superior incluso al mando de xboX360 y el tacto es bueno, bueno... es rugosillo y da una sensación agradable en la mano y evita resbalarse, los gatillos tienen una goma al final del tope que es muy agradable al usarlos... lo único estúpido por parte de msoft es que solo funcione con cable en win7-8, cuando el bluetooth se supone que es independiente del software... lo de siempre con m$oft...SE SUPONE = Todavía no lo he probado, pero he leido que es posible.

Sono un felice possessore del vecchio controller per XBOX 360 wireless, che mi ha accompagnato nelle mie avventure su pc negli ultimi 6-7 anni. Questo veterano è morto con onore dopo migliaia di ore di onorato servizio, iniziando a spegnersi all'improvviso in partita e non volendo più saperne di riaccendersi, se non quando ne avesse voglia lui (e non dipende dalle pile che ho cambiato più volte per prova). Sono quindi passato a questo "nuovo" controller per XBOX ONE (versione cablata) e che dire: è magnifico. E' vero che esiste la versione Elite che è decisamente migliore...ma stiamo parlando di 120 euro, e comunque mi piace giocare con prodotti di qualità, ma essenziali e l'Elite essenziale non è (ha tasti configurabili ovunque, lo vedo come un contentino per gamers flippatissimi e del tutto inutile invece per me).Parlando quindi, finalmente, del mio nuovo controller per XBOX ONE in versione standard, posso soltanto lodarlo. Rispetto al predecessore ho riscontrato numerosi passi in avanti:- l'impugnatura in mano è molto più "confortevole";- è più leggero;- al tatto ha un feeling che, almeno per me, risulta più gradevole;- gli stick richiedono meno forza per essere mossi, e sono zigrinati ai bordi per rendere tutto più facile;- le croci direzionali sono finalmente separate, ognuna con un suo pulsante mentre prima era un problema non da poco e spesso capitava di premere il tasto sbagliato;- i triggers sono sagomati in maniera più "hand friendly" se così si può dire...no sembra neanche di averci posato sopra le dita;- i pulsanti A B X Y sono più "morbidi" da schiacciare;- non c'è più l'odioso vano sporgente per le batterie, ora tutta l'area sottostante al controller è totalmente libera;- i motorini che attuano la vibrazione sembrano molto più realistici nel feedback che offrono.Per farla breve questo controller rende tutto molto più diretto, intuitivo e naturale di prima. Soprattutto nelle lunghe sessioni di gioco, mentre prima iniziavo ad accusare fatica ai polpastrelli per la pressione dei vari pulsanti e ai polsi per il peso del pad, adesso sembra quasi di giocare a mani nude...semplicemente la sensazione è quella di non stancarsi mai e hai sempre "voglia" di continuare e continuare e continuare...non so se ho reso l'idea.Comunque per gli amanti del senza fili, questo controller funziona anche in wireless, ma bisogna acquistare a parte l'adattore USB-wireless appositamente per lui (quello per il controller della 360 non lo riconosce).5 super stelle per lui, e per voi il consiglio di non risparmiare soldi su questa periferica di gioco (soprattuto se è il vostro unico controller): si fa presto a comprare controller cinesi o comunque di prezzo molto inferiore (10-20 euro), ma la qualità e il feedback che offrono questo controller, sono prerogativa solo di questo controller. Risparmiate su altro e mi ringrazierete.

Wer oft und viel am PC spielt, braucht irgendwann für irgendwelche Spiele auch einen Controller. Ich selber habe Jahre lang einen der Firma Logitech genutzt. Wenn man aber Pech hat, wurde dieser von den neuen Spielen nicht vollumfänglich unterstützt. Also musste ein Ersatz her.Er sollte möglichst immer von den Spielen akzeptiert werden und auch gut funktionieren.Nach einigen Überlegungen entschied ich mich schließlich dafür, den Microsoft Xbox One Controller zu kaufen. Als Besitzer mehrerer Sony Konsolen fiel mir der Schritt zunächst etwas schwer, aber ich bereue ihn heute nicht mal mehr eine Minute.Der Controller selbst ist in wenigen Minuten Einsatzbereit. Einmal an den PC angeschlossen, installiert sich der Treiber von alleine und schon ist die Sache durch. ACHTUNG! Falls es Windows 7 Nutzer gibt, bei denen der Controller nicht erkannt wird: Die Unterstützung bei Win7 kam erst nach einem Gewissen Update hinzu. Stellt also sicher, dass ihr die Windows Updates alle geladen habt, dann steht dem Spielspaß nichts mehr im Wege.Das mitgelieferte Kabel ist mit 1,5 Metern wirklich lang genug. Damit kann man sich auch im Stuhl weit zurücklehnen und muss keine Angst haben das Kabel ausversehen heraus zu ziehen. Auch sitzt dieses gut im Controller. Es wackelt nicht und fällt auch sicherlich nicht von alleine heraus.Ein kabelloses Spielen ist auch möglich, wenn ihr Batterien benutzt und euer PC eine Bluetooth-Verbindung herstellen kann. Ansonsten braucht ihr den Wireless Adapter welcher mit einem aufladbaren Akku daher kommt.Der Unterschied zwischen der 2016er Version und der aktuellen ist nicht all zu groß. Die Oberfläche ist nun etwas griffiger aber es hat sich nicht wirklich viel getan das man sagen kann, ein Umstieg müsste unbedingt sein obwohl der alte Controller noch einwandfrei funktioniert.Bisher hatte ich kein Spiel, welches diesen Controller nicht unterstütz hat. Microsoft sei Dank. Er liegt erstaunlich gut in der Hand (wenn ich da an den ersten Xbox Controller zurück denke) und lässt sich sehr gut bedienen. Er ist sauber verarbeitet und hält auch den einen oder anderen Stoß aus, wenn man mal gefrustet ist und das Spiel in aller letzter Sekunde verliert.
