How To Overcome 10 Chaotic Feelings That Tend To Paralyze Us
The Storm Inside: Trade the Chaos of How You Feel for the Truth of Who You Are by Sheila Walsh is not another victim book nor a depressing autobiography. It's a book about YOU and once you open the pages and read the message inside, you'll realize it's written on your behalf. In her book Sheila addresses these ten feelings that can become overwhelming burdens:>> Heartache>> Disappointment>> Fear>> Bitterness>> Unforgiveness>> Anger>> Regret>> Abandonment>> Shame>> InsecuritySheila calls them the "ten chaotic feelings that tend to paralyze us" and walks you through a solution to these frustrating burdens. By the time you finish the book you will feel lightened from your burdens.I enjoyed reading The Storm Inside: Trade the Chaos of How You Feel for the Truth of Who You Are by Sheila Walsh. I especially enjoyed the ministry stories about women who reached out to Sheila for encouragement during their own times of pain and darkness. The book is filled with wisdom and based on truth of Scripture. Highly recommend reading one chapter a night before bed!******************************************************10 Quotes From The Storm Inside #TweetThisBefore we can embrace the good news of the love of God, we have to deal with the truth of who we are without Him. Calm after the storm
If I were able to I would give this book 10 stars. Sheila has written a story that reflects my life and it brought tears of sadness as well as joy. If you are dealing with a storm inside, by all means read her book. I t is a wealth of promise that you too can recover from your raging storms. You won’t be able to put it down. This book has helped me to see that I am not alone and that there is always hope for us to overcome life’s challenges when we have God beside us. Welcome to a new day in your life!!!!

You need this book!
I am a psychologist with a PhD, and also a woman who has dealt with depression most of my life, and been in the evangelical church since I was a child. I was immediately struck with the honesty of this book - which deals in the first chapter with our tendency to "throw Bible verses" at people who are suffering, rather than holding them close and loving them through their pain. She deals immediately with shame, something many of us don't know we have. Seriously - I was ashamed of some things I'd done, but I did not understand that shame is not about what I'd done, but about who I am. I learned that a while ago, but many women have not, and Sheila is out to help them learn that they are loved by God.This is an absolutely excellent book from a transparent, honest woman who loves Jesus. Can't recommend it highly enough - especially if you think you don't need it. Especially if you think you don't need it!! Learn how to truly help with those in pain!!!

I am enjoying the book..but...
I am enjoying this book...I have not finished it yet..God is definitely using it to speak to my heart about things and have found some freeing insights. The only part I am really having trouble with is in the forgiveness section. I don't understand the "contacting someone that has hurt you and apologizing to them" I don't even know if that is biblical???? Maybe i am not understanding the concept. I am all about forgiveness and have forgiven many things, but it makes not sense to me to ask for forgiveness if you are not at fault? Do you ask for forgiveness if someone raped you? Do you ask for forgiveness when someone steals from you?? Do you ask for forgiveness when someone slanders you and ruins your reputation? I don't get it. I still recommend this book and know God will use it..i am just stuck on and confused about this one aspect.

God of hope
If I had been able to write a book about my life, this book would cover the entirety of the pain and suffering I went through in my teenage and young adult life. God has restored my life and given me a new hope in him. I have been free in God's love for 10 years now. Now my daughter is going through a storm and God impressed on me to get this book for her. Her and I have been reading it at the same time. God's word is truth. This book has really helped my daughter see God's truth. Her assignment from God is to write down, " It is written" before the truth that God says in his word, to combat the lies of the devil.Thank you Sheila

The Storm Inside
I am only half way thru the book and I am enjoying the book and getting so much from the book. The church that I belong to we have a Women's Book Club that we call the Chat and Chew. We selected The Storm Inside as our book to read. We met this past Saturday and the were together for 3 hours and only got through the first 2 chapters. We were suppose to discuss the first 5 chapters but we only got as far a chapter 2. That is how much information was in there that the women needed and wanted to talk about. We will be meeting again to discuss 3, 4, 5. We will be reading the 2nd half of the book at the beginning of the year and meeting again to discuss those chapters. We call it Chat and Chew because we chat about the book and we all bring a covered dish so we can chew while we chat about the book.

Love this book, which is not only encouraging but also instructional for those of us who are needing guidance, nurturing and support in our lives as followers of Christ and going through difficult times. A very relational read which is biblically based and I would highly commend this (along with Sheila's gifted singing! )
