Brabantia 427169 Toilet Brush and Holder - Brilliant Steel

Well designed.The 'business' side:Brush feels substantial & handle is all in one, not 2 parts screwed together like some, plus the 'lid/splash shield' is higher up than others, which means that more of the toilet bowl is easy to reach without the lid bit touching the sides of the toilet when getting to the 'awkward bits'. Moreover, said lid/splash shield has a plastic rim, so if you do happen to scrape the toilet bowl with it, it doesn't scratch or leave a mark (unlike others I've used). The brush is quite large & has lots of bristles & seems to be effective. Being black & grey it might look better than a white one after lots of use (I think?).The plastic liner is very easy to take out to clean. You can also take the metal casing off the wall bracket to clean too, by pressing a plastic 'latch' on the bracket & turning the metal casing to release it. This bit is slightly more awkward depending on how easy it is for you to reach the 'latch' once the unit is in place on the wall. I think it has to be done firmly but gently, as the 'catch' bits are plastic & I suspect may break off if too roughly handled. OK once you get the knack.The metal case & bracket feel a bit less substantial than the brush itself, but they're just a receptacle for the brush, so seem fine as they are.The look?:Clean lines, simple classy look (as far as a toilet brush/holder can be classy?!!) - certainly as nice & as sturdy as the £120(!) ones I saw in some shops. I think well worth the £35.I've only been using this for a few weeks, but seems good quality & seems as if it will wear well, though the decades will tell!

You pay for what you get. Amazingly sturdy, strong with a premium feel and heavy weight to it. Brushed metal looks modern and clean and the plastic container inside does not emit odours like in cheap plastic. I have purchased several toilet brush holders and have been disappointed with all of them. I recently purchased this Brabantia one and it is excellent; very well made, stylish, very strong and functional, the brush is not white, which is a bonus and it is useful to have a wall fixing should you require it. Great price, speedy delivery, recommended!

Of all things toilet brush holder - this one does the trick. Its easy to clean, solid, well made, black brush head which is so much nicer than a white brush head (for obvious reasons for the job that it does), plastic rim round the lid so it closes tightly and does not leak if knocked over. I did not use the base unit to hang on the wall - its stiff but easy to take off. I can imagine that if you did want to hang this unit on the wall and remove regularly for cleaning - this could be quite difficult as it is not easy to remove. That's the only downside.

This is probably a wonderful product but I seem destined never to find out. It certainly looks good and matches the Brabantia pedal bin I bought.In response to my order the original vendor, Choiceful UK (selling on the Amazon Marketplace), sent me a different Brabantia toilet brush that bears no resemblance to the one shown on the website. This brush doesn't look anything like what I wanted and really looks cheap and tacky. They advised me this was a problem with the website and prompt sent me a refund.I then ordered one direct from Amazon and they sent the same item that Choiceful had sent. A helpful man in Customer Services said he understood the problem and would despatch the correct item as a replacement. 2 months after placing my original order I now have the replacement and, as I'm sure you've already guessed, it's the same wrong item as before.Don't waste your time trying to buy this on Amazon as you won't get it!

Good sturdy piece of kit where the lid doesn't collide with the toilet rim in use. However, felt the hanging attachment was a bit clumsy.

This toilet brush is really good quality product that I bought on the strength of having used one for 5 years in another location. In comparison with cheaper versions this is well worth the extra cost - cheaper ones need replacing regularly because, in my experience, they leak and rust horribly. At the end of 5 years the Brabantia one still looked good and functioned well.
