One of the greatest kids books ever!
We checked this out from the library and my daughter loved it! I love reading it, it has bright illustrations and is a great story for all those stubborn kids who don't like brushing their hair or getting their hair cut! Usually I get so sick of reading the same kid books over and over but this one never gets old.

Daughter likes this book better than mom
Got this book because my daughter hates having her hair brushed, much prefering "messy hair" to the agony of brushing. She greatly enjoys reading this, laughing throughout the story, and for me, it's an opportunity to explore with her why hair needs to be brushed! The rhyming scheme is quite good and overall it's a good book. There are two things I really don't like though: 1) the ending...would have much preferred an alternate solution to chopping her hair off! and 2) the page with the line "she puts on a dress with some earrings and pearls, and lipstick and perfume like most other girls"...yuck! we've altered and written over that line.

Loved it!
The title captured our attention. My daughter and I can easily relate to the problem. We both laugh and laugh at the book. The author takes a common problem and cleverly fills the pages with rhythmic words and funny illustrates. We enjoy looking at the pictures and picking out the items that get tangled in Ella's hair.

Love!
I bought this book for my 4yr old daughter Ella because she never wants to brush her hair. She thinks it's hilarious and loves that her name is on a book. We even started calling her Ella Kazoo when she puts up a fight about brushing her hair. Cute, cute book!

Cute!
My girls 4 and 6 both loved this book. They both have the same kind of wild, brown curls as Ella and they both also like to run when it's time to get their hair done. So they found it funny that someone else did the same thing!

A fun book to encourage hair care.
I read this book to my preschool class as we talked about the importance of brushing hair in a hilarious tale of a young girl.
