Spectrum Noir Sparkle (3PK) - Clear Overlay

Had sim Christmas cards I really liked but no glitter. These just added that big of joy.

I bought this clear sparkle overlay set of 3 pens to use in crafting/cardmaking but there are other colours available. I use them with all different alcohol ink pens not only Spectrum Noir pens.I struggled to get it to work and after a bit of shaking and patience I was very pleased with the results. You don't need too much and it glides on to the stamped images that I overlayed with this sparkle and the results were amazing. It takes a bit of practice to get it right. I initially put too much on and it didn't look right then once I got the hang of it the effort was worth the wait. It gives a very fine glitter mist to your image. You need to shake the pens and remove the spacer.I have been using the same pen from the set of 3 and it seems to last a long time.

The brush loaded up nicely and had a fine point so it was quite easy to paint even details with, though I guess not if you wanted something really pin-point accurate. I like the subtle shimmery effect. The sparkle is evenly distributed but the shiny particles are much tinier than regular glitter and some users may have preferred something more “in your face”. The tone is cool, frosty, not golden. My photo is from testing the pen on plain white paper. I’m giving four stars, not five, because the pens were a little bit expensive and the effect is a just little bit meh.

I needed a little bit of bling on the stamps I had been blending but didn't want to use the Sakura pens that I normally use as they can be a little heavy on delicate images, so did a search to see if Spectrum Noir did any. Found these Overlay pens which were clear as I wanted to be able to use them on any colour that I needed glamming up.These are not like your regular Spectrum Noir pens as they have a rubbery bit that you have to gently squeeze to get the glitter to come out into the brush. It's perfect when you get the hang of it but initially I squeezed too hard and it sent way too much out. You need to gently squeeze these, gently, so a little dribble comes out on the brush, then wipe that onto another piece of paper before you attempt to highlight what you have drawn or coloured.Apart from that they are beautiful and don't give you too much sparkle, just a little shimmer which is lovely for what I needed. I don't know whether or not I'd buy the coloured versions though but these are lovely over any colour so I'm happy.

I love these pens and they have replaced my usual brand for adding sparkle. I haven't encountered any problems with the pens, as long as you shake and squeeze carefully and regularly, you get lots of sparkle. I used them extensively on my Christmas cards this year and the shimmer/glitter stayed put on all the surfaces I used them on (even on glossy Hunky dory cardstock and little book paper). I like the brush nib, it allowed me to cover large areas and also more precise application. I've used the first pen a lot but still no sign of it running out, so I am really pleased with quality and value for money.

Having seen these Spectrum Noir Sparkle brush pens, I ordered the pack of 3 which was cheaper than getting the coloured pen sets. The package arrived very quickly and I have done some swatches over various watercolours, over metallic pen and over coloured pencil. It really it very sparkly and a lot less hassle than sticking down glitter. The advantage with these brush pens being clear with glitter is that you you really can use them over any colour or media that you already have. Excellent for card making and similar.

These pens create a fabulous sparkle overlay on products. Slight hint of silver which is perfect for the projects i am working on. Absolutely delighted and excellent value for money 💰

I've used other types of spectrum noir pens before but these pens just weren't very good..1st one I used leaked so badly I had to bin it & the other two weren't much better..the contents were very runny so tended to overspill onto areas I didn't want....

These are so easy to use and quick drying. Adds glitter to any page without messing up the paper or stickers around it. Love these. I use them all the time!

Super pailletés. Les pointes sont toutes identiques, et peu épaisses à mon goût, mais le résultat est très beau.
