Treating a fungal nail infection is often expensive and never easy. The added difficulty is that some treatments will work for some people but not for others. Over a 10 year period I threw every over-the-counter treatment I could get from my local chemist at my infected nail, but despite slight improvement occasionally, the infection won over every time. This was costing a lot and getting nowhere. I went to see a foot health professional, who took the view that I needed to see my GP and there was the risk of losing the nail because of how advanced the infection had got. The GP said there was a medication I could use, but it as unpleasant and I needed a blood test to see if my liver was suitable. The GP explained that if I could find a topical treatment, it would be far better. I had the blood test, but decided to have one last look for a treatment I could apply directly, before taking the prescribed medication. I found this product and bought it, showing my foot health professional, who had not heard of it, but was interested to see how this would progress. I used Canespro (available on Amazon) first to "burn" away some of the infection before using this medication. I used this medication and there was some mild burning sensation, not painful, but I could feel it for a few minutes after application. Before I started this medication, my nail was raised over half an inch with infection underneath it. This medication got to clearing out the infection and worked really well, following out the gap under my nail. I have been using this medication for about 9 months and I can no longer see any infection under the nail. There is a gap under the nail where the infection was, so I will use the medication until the nail looks completely normal and the gap is grown out fully. This has been great stuff for me, but please consider how useless I found all the other medications, so some people will possibly find this medication of little benefit. Also, my skin did not like this medication. I am not sure if it hardened my skin, or chemically burnt the skin, but I had skin turning dark, peeling off in large chunks and other such things. I avoided this by putting the medication on and under the nail carefully and avoiding the skin. This impact on the skin has no consequence to me, nothing else worked on my infection, so a bit of skin hardening & discoloration is nothing compared to 10 years of no progress on the infection. My foot health professional was very impressed with the results from this product.

First, it works. It does tackle the fungus. Obviously going to take a while for the nail to grow out. Suggest sanding the nail surface down too. Secondly - it burns sensitive skin, and in my case it causes some swelling, which has opened up a gap between nail and skin, and next news I had a nasty infection! With care, it is possible to avoid getting the stuff on your skin, then allow it to dry... So, only 3 stars from me...

This is good stuff. arrived very early on last order.Have had this before and used in between another product. it seemed to work quite well on a quite far gone infection on more than one toe,mainly by softening the infected nail and allowing it to be removed easier. Reducing the amount of nail but also infection.(which is generally the best option, as i don't think this will work well to just remove discolouring, or slight infections. Some reviews claim this makes it worse, but it definitely stops spreading at least.) A better solution for that would be a less natural antifungal such as Excilor or Scholl,that claim to penetrate the nail from outside. Either way i am still using this again, and will update if the results are better this time and whether oregano really is effective or not.Also be careful, can irritate sensitive skin if used OFF nail. Main points about this.. smells like pizza and strong lasting smell if use too much (that doesn't bother me), good value for money, works well to soften the infected area and should generally stop spreading,however not sure if its any good for returning colour. could possibly be used with another product while price is low, I will update with results which can hopefully be of more use whether this works or not. Also, for any sceptical people, It is definitely not just oregano oil in a bottle, because i tasted it(wrong i know).... and it burnt the cr#p out of my tongue.... and didnt taste like pizza. Please dont do it!! Although it is for hands too so doing this could be possible.

About 7 years ago I realized I had nail fungus on my left finger nail. Before I did anything the fungus spread to both my hands and feet which felt pretty horrific.I did try oral medication, ozone treatment and natural remedies such as ACV soak. I admit I wasn't very consistent, as I was skeptical on using oral medication for prolonged periods given their potential side effects. Fungus stop seemed as a no risk trial given that it is cheap and most importantly is natural. The worst that could happen is seeing zero effect. At least I knew I was just using natural essential oils. It has been close to a month and a half now that I started using it. My left hand finger nails have definitely improved, my right hand nails aren't as good as left hand nails, but they seem to have improved slightly and I do not yet see progress on my feet. I still gave a 5 star because I see my all my 5 nails on the left hand in a decent shape after a very very long time. I always loved long nails and in the recent years all I did was remembering the good old days, but I now I see them! I will definitely buy another bottle to continue using on my feet and shall post an update in case I see an improvement. Update: I was too lazy to continue using. It has now been close to 2.5 months. But just the other day I had a look at my toe nail and I was shocked, surprised and excited at the same time. My toe nails cleared up! And it was even after stopping the usage! I wouldn't say all my toe nails cleared up 100%, but at least the big toe nails on both feet improved massively. My finger nails also seem to be in a relatively better state compared to my last update. I am now motivated and started using the oil again. I am now setting a new target to sincerely use the oil twice a day for the next one month. For now I am posting the pictures of my toe nails and in case the situation improves at the end of 1 month, I shall post new pictures again. Honestly, I feel like giving this product a 10 star! :D

This not only does not work and also smells nasty. I had one infected toenail and after a week of use no improvement and the toenail next to it then became infected. You get a great deal more than other products that deal with the same problem and also the applicator is really good. Still the bottom line is that it does not work and you will smell. This was the second product and I brought it because it was a bigger bottle. I just does not work and in my case it made things worse. I will avoid this product and stick to chemicals/products that actually kill the fungus. Now I have switch a chemical product the problem is almost gone. I will keep up the twice daily (most likely once a day since I don't have that much time during the day) so the infection does not return. In a couple of weeks my toenails will look lovely once again - you have to carry on with treatment for at least 4 weeks but its best to keep going for a couple of months so it does not return. But a chemical rather than all natural products are better and good foot hygiene is important.

REVIEW UPDATE - OK so I've been using this product religiously one to two times a day now for well over a year and I am on my second bottle - it lasts a while. I'll say that this product is not a cure but absolutely reduces the infection and makes you nail look a hundred times better but for me, for a long while now it never quite gets there. Then I come across a story that says use whitening tooth paste to improve the look of your nails. So i give this a go and I can tell you that I was surprised at how much better my nail now looks - it really does now look almost normal. I still use this product but once or twice a week I also give my toe nail a brush with whitening tooth paste and with the two I have had the best results.I use Oral B whitening although I'm sure others will work. Give it a shot - seems to be working for me and seems to get better from each use. This product is still the best I have used and the toothpaste takes it that much further for me - really happy with hoe my nail has improved. This product seems quite effective. I've tried most of the well known more clinical looking brands and even the typical varnish type products offered by my Doctor and none have produced the results this organic oil produces. I was quite sceptical at first but after reading the reviews thought I had nothing to loose. My nail fungus on my big toe has persisted now for around at least 3 years and over the years this oil has produced the best results. My nail looks almost normal now and I saw results within two weeks. I'm still using the oil after about two months (twice a day). As I said best results by far of anything I have used but at this point in my treatment I still think the fungus is there but it is slowly being killed. Perhaps in another couple of months i'll be more confident in saying the product has completely worked. However, in most cases we are all trying to make the nail look better, even normal and this product does that. If you have not tried it give it a go you will be pleased.

I wasn't expecting much from this product. It costs way less than the usual stuff you can get from the high street chemists and it's claims about being 99% effective and totally natural left me feeling very suspicious. However, having tried numerous other solutions at far higher prices and with absolutely zero results, I decided to give it a shot. Delivery took quite a while and I had almost forgotten about it when the tiny bottle finally slipped through my letter box. I read through the leaflet and took in a little of the information about the natural contents and words of advice about a 'hot sensation' being normal and cracked open the bottle. Essentially what you get is a bottle of oil which you can apply with a brush in the same way that one would apply nail varnish. But... what a magic little bottle of oil this is! I didn't feel any 'hot sensation' at all and after just a few days started to see some improvement. I couldn't believe it at first and thought it might just be a trick of the light playing on the surface of a well oiled nail. This however was not the case. Where all others have failed, this potion has done the trick! I actually derive pleasure from the thought that the apparently indestructible fungal spore that had decided to take up residence on my body has finally met it's match :-) Yes you might find that you smell a little like greek cuisine or a liberally sprinkled pizza (if you live in UK) but the odour is certainly not unpleasant and the results speak for themselves. I haven't tried any of the other products from this company but would have no hesitation in doing so should the need arise purely on the basis of the results derived from this product. I have already made several verbal recommendations to friends. How refreshing to find a product that really works, is great value and doesn't need to include any comments like 'apart from', 'almost', 'but..' with regards to it's performance when reviewing it.

I've tried various over the counter things from Boots to treat a persistent fungal toe nail infection as sadly my GP was reluctant to do anything to assist, but so far nothing worked. I have extremely sensitive skin, so I was a bit wary of this, having read some of the one star reviews about allergic reactions, however I was getting desperate to find something to treat my big toe nail. After only 2 weeks of applying this twice a day (when I remember, it's been once on more than one occasion), my toe nail is actually starting to look normal. Best of all, I've had no adverse reaction to this at all, I don't even get a warm sensation when I apply it. I have been very careful to make sure I've kept the oil just on the nail - I find wiping the brush on the inside of the neck of the bottle helps, as otherwise it can be easy to get a big drop out. The only downsides are that it does take some time to soak in and it does smell very strongly of oregano - not that that should be surprising since it's oregano oil, but it really is very strong. Fortunately I like the smell, but it is pungent and persists. I've noticed a faint whiff of it in some of my shoes now too, but to be honest it's better than them smelling of feet! I'm carrying on with the next 2 weeks and am finally hopeful that I've found the solution to my fungal nail problem.
