3MGold Privacy Filter for 15 inch MacBook Pro 16:10 Retina Display - GPFMR15

Works pretty well, but unlike the older, more common version, this one is not easily removable. It is attached with adhesive strips directly to the screen. It comes with spare adhesive strips and a cheesy little folder thing (like a manila folder) to keep the filter in, but if you take it off you will quickly become irritated by the fingerprints, dust and dirt behind the filter next time you put it on. So expect to leave this on for good if you get one.

I just purchased this product and I am highly disappointed, The commercial is totally inadequate. However looking from the side angles, people won't be able to see the screen but when someone stands behind you, THEY WILL SEE EVERYTHING, it doesn't matter how close or how far away, they will see everything on the Screen in HD. So I strongly recommend buying the classical version which is the black and white. The Gold screen is expensive and a total waste of money !.

Insane amount of money to pay for a privacy filter, but if it does the job then why not? Well the problem is, it doesn't:- Someone sitting right next to you (chair in an airport) would be able to see your screen.- Someone sitting behind you (in an airplane) would be able to see your screen.Despite the privacy filter looking really good once applied (Gold and shiny), it does reflect any kind of light hitting the screen. If you have a window nearby, or a light above you, it will reflect it and make it hard to see.Used it once during a trip, couple hours in the airport, couple hours on-site.Never used it again.

I have bought these having looked at and tried several different privacy filters and the 3m Gold filters seem to do the job best. Deserves five stars and every penny of its price, as someone trying to see your screen needs to lean closely to you. Perfect for working on the train, as the angle does not allow person sitting next to you to see what you are doing, at the same time there is no significant effect on your work when you look at the screen directly. Way more effective than the black one and despite my initial reservations about a gold filter, the colour from the side is a red/goldish reflection that looks stylish. A must have for privacy these days.

Does the job, but despite being ok for first few days, now I'm noticing air bubbles underneath when the screen is off which is annoying.

First off all it does not fit macbook pro 2018 - too bigSecond it os so reflective (black untireflective side up) that I could not work on the train next to windowThird it gives yellow green tint so if you edit colour-good luckIt is not fit for purpose I regret buying it

As a privacy filter, it works well. However, the sticky pads used to stick the filter to the screen eventually wear off, despite following the care instructions.

Does the job quite well but 3M should write that the gold side is better than the black side. I found this out when calling 3M for some questions about it. Works great when screen is not at full brightness. Less utility otherwise.
