Hedgehog 🦔 Food
Hedgehog 🦔 loves this food. Stored in a strong bag the quality is excellent, there is no waste at all, the Hedgehog clears the bowl. Size of the bag is excellent value for money and it will last a while, it is easy to use, take out what you need and then close the bag back up with an elastic band. Happy Hedgehogs 🦔🦔🦔🦔

Great quality hedgehog food
Great food for hedgehogs and it contains all the right ingredients unlike other brands. Quick delivery and good price, pack size lasts a long time and we have 2-5 regular hedgehogs visiting nightly.

Good for the hedgehogs!
I recently built a hedgehog home in my garden and they moved in a week ago... it's a little bit of an obsession that they now thrive in my garden and use it as a base. I thought I'd add this to the dog food I have been putting out for a few weeks now, before they go into hibernation they should be well fattened up :) In regards to the order... it was next day and arrived in good condition, I assume the hedgehogs liked it as the plate was cleaned this morning.

Hedgehogs must have a source of water if using dried Spike
My visiting hogs absolutely love this and will often wait until I come out to feed them if I’m a bit late. They are creatures of habit and tend to come for their Spike at the same time each evening. I put down enough food that there is a very small amount left in the morning. This way I know they have had enough. Spike is much better than any moist food/cat/dog - especially for young hogs growing their teeth. Hogs need sharp strong teeth to eat their natural food of crunchy beetles! However, because Spike is a complete dried food, hedgehogs will eat less natural food (from which they would derive much of their moisture intake), its therefore vital to ensure theres a pond WITH A SLOPE/RAMP so they don’t drown or large dog bowls of water - (which they also like to wash in!) Another very good advantage of dried Spike is hogs are very prone to FLY STRIKE. In warm weather, even on summer evenings, moist food more easily attracts blow flies. Hogs then pick up the eggs as they eat the food and can commonly get a fatal attack of fly strike (where maggots hatch out in their spines and face fur). Hogs are also very prone to Lungworm too, so its worth placing the bowl of food on sand to deter slugs which pass on this fatal disease to hedgehogs (I NEVER use slug pellets as Hedgehogs eat slugs and are at great risk of secondary poisoning although it should be said that hedgehogs actual do not like slugs very much (they only form a small fraction of their diet) they prefer beetles, so a nice large log pile and dry sandy areas for beetles will help provide the best diet for hedgehogs along with their nightly Spike. I keep Spike in a large plastic tub (an empty fatballs bird food tub) and use usually one plastic tumbler per number of visiting hedgehogs each evening. Each morning before the Magpies and Blackbirds descend into the garden, I just check to see how much food has been eaten and moderate it the next evening if necessary. Spike is enough of a good complete and apparently very tasty meal for Hogs that I very rarely supplement it with any mealworms since these swell up in their bellies and are probably the equivalent of kids eating too many cheese puffs! Since using Spike, Ive never varied the food of my regular hogs since even the smallest change (ie to pet food or moist food ) can upset their tummies - I think its the best food out there, it may not be the cheapest but its worth it to help stop these beautiful creatures from disappearing from our gardens and countryside for ever.

All Gone in 20 mins!!
Well, I didn't know whether this product would be good or not, but my little hog ate the lot and didn't come up for air for 20 mins, knocking the water over in its attempt to get to the food asap!! Definitely recommend.

Hoggy Nom's
Finally i have found a product my wild hedgehog visitors will eat. Considering i have fussy visitors currently around 47 that visit my garden, all marked with nail polish on their spines in different color and sites to make for easy identification when it comes to weekly health checks for injuries, sickness , ticks or fleas, they don't mind the deticking, they don't like being sprayed with Johnson's small animal flea spray when i see they have unwelcome guests, can you blame them? they are fussy. I feed mine on meaty cat biscuits (never anything with fish in) and occasionally a few dried meal worms as a special treat which are the hog equivalent of pringles which some groups say i shouldn't as it is bad for them. All my guests are fit and healthy and the 3 late fall juveniles i overwintered as they were all too small to survive winter hibernation They weighed 300g in mid October so they had to come in and they must be at least 650g or more to hibernate safely. Hedgehogs don't sleep all the way through, they do wake up and forage for food and water so i make there is food and water available all year round. I have tried various meaty kitten and puppy food and they simply ate around it. I tried Spike's semi moist and they ate round that as well. I have tried other brands of hedgehog food with no success. I thought well i haven't tried Spike's dry biscuits, if they don't eat them the birds will. I bought the smaller bag first to try it and if they didn't then the birds could have it or my local hedgehog rescue (Jen's hedgehog Rescue, Corby) could. Behold, they loved it. I was amazed to say the least. I currently have a juvie male in called Houdini as he escapes and i always find him snuggled up in my scarf by the radiator. As i was changing his bedding and then weighing him, he came in at 300g and now weighs 540g i tried a couple of biscuits as a reward for being good and not licking my feet. I rarely wear slippers and has he runs around the kitchen helping himself to my cats meaty kitty bix he likes to run over my feet and lick them which is really ticklish or he goes for a paddle in the water bowl and then grumbles because he has wet feet and a wet belly. He loves these biscuits heck even my cats do. I put a dish of them outside for my other visitors to try and all that have visited have eaten them. Since they enjoyed them i bought 3 bags of the 2.5kg and i will probably need more depending on when my guests hibernate and Houdini continues to grow, I am so happy to find a product that my hedgehogs will eat. They give this food 5 prickles out of 5 and i give this a 5 star rating. Thanks again In the 1st photo 5 hogs decided to show up for dinner and since the back door was open and i was sorting out hoggy dinner they decided to help themselves to my cats dinner (which i think was Sanabelle ostrich flavor) and the 2nd picture is Houdini having a snooze after escaping. I leave the scarf there as when he escapes i know where he will be. He has really long hind legs and can reach further than the 3 i overwintered last yest, Jen-Jen, Hamble and Jemima. I thought Jen-Jen was a girl as all their little bits were in almost the same place but as they got older his bits migrated north to almost where his belly button was. I decode to leave his name as it was.
