Hits it out of the park!
This unit replaced another I bought for $40 less from Overstock.com, which subsequently failed in under four years. From the moment I unpacked it from the box, to turning it on once it was set in the sink, the Simplice has been but impressive.First off, I'd like to speak to some of the quality design elements of the Kohler Simplice:• The faucet has a sturdy, hefty feeling, and a substantial metal spray head.• The magnetic "docking" system between the spray head and body is solid and much appreciated after enduring the "droopy head syndrome" my previous faucet developed two years in.• The ceramic cartridge valve, controlling water flow and temperature is *smooooth* and needs minimal pressure to actuate or swivel.• The ball joint at the end of the hose joining to the spray head is *brilliant*. I no longer feel like I'm in a wrestling match, or ready to strain a part to failure, when angling the spray.A couple of things that made me go "Hmmmm", but then...:• The hose is not clad with metal, or a metal mimicking material. But this is actually a good thing. My former faucet could have doubled as a triceps workout machine, the hose was so heavy. The Simplice by contrast is feather light, and *very* easy to pull out, put back and maneuver in the sink.• The "fan" spray. I've used the traditional circular spray since the sprayer was a black pistol grip affair on the right side of the sink, but after using it a few times I was sold. Having the spray coming from two directions removes food easier, seems to kick up less overspray and is, for lack of a better description, just more fun.OK, the bad (you knew it was coming):• No automatic reset from spray to stream. I would trade the Pause feature in a heartbeat for this.• Installation really requires two people, even though it's only for about five minutes. The instructions tell you to thread the faucet to the sink, then hook up the plumbing. I don't care how many books and sticks, or how much duct tape you use, you will jiggle the base while underneath the sink tightening the nut and it will start falling over. Bring a friend, give them beer, forewarned is forearmed. In closing, having used the Kohler Simplice faucet for a couple of weeks now, I wholeheartedly recommend it to my friends, acquaintances and the Amazon community at large.

Gorgeous kitchen faucet
Had to replace an older Pfister pull-out faucet after the spray hose starting leaking again for the second time. Sure, I could have simply replaced the hose again, albeit it proved to be a hassle for first time and didn't relish going through it a second time.Excellent Kohler install instructions made this pull-down model a breeze. When finished I now have a gorgeous faucet I expect to last for many years. This is my second Kohler kitchen faucet, a pull-out model. It's still going strong after about 15 years. What to go Kohler!

Nice kitchen faucet with one caveat
The first thing I will note is that the main reason to buy Kohler products is quality but also readily available parts when, ultimately, they are needed. While there are more expensive and, presumably, higher quality plumbing products on the market Kohler remains a standard.I looked at many faucets locally and hands on before buying; this particular faucet is hands-down the best choice in this price range in terms of quality and I would recommend it without hesitation. There is, however, something to consider before purchasing and attempting to install any pull down/pull out style kitchen faucet- your under sink plumbing. If your intended application is new/er construction then this may not apply since, in recent years, plumbers have begun roughing in to accommodate this type of faucet. If your intended application is a retrofit then this will benefit you. Most standard plumbing is centered in the sink cabinet. The design and manner of operation of pulldown faucets depends solely upon a weighted supply line for the spray head to retract. It is likely that typical under sink plumbing will interfere with the smooth operation of this weight; mostly it will clang around on drain/waste/vent pipes and catch on supply line valves. While there are many work around solutions/products available to "solve" this problem, none of them work very well at all.Unfortunately, the best solution is to rework the under sink plumbing to accommodate the supply line; for most people this is prohibitive.I have read and heard many complaints about this but did not understand, fully, until encountering it myself. This is not unique to this Kohler product but, rather, to this type of faucet.Again, at this price point I would absolutely recommend the Kohler Simplice.
