Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels - 36 ounces (2.25 pounds)

Four star for the quality and a fifth star for the price. These are very inexpensive for "Gourmet" candy: $0.47/ounce, as opposed to $0.84 and $1.00. 1 order out of had some oil separation that was sufficient to affect the flavor, but it did not amount to more than a hint. This results from melting and hardening again. The chocolate is very smooth and flavorful. It is very high quality chocolate. Perhaps a bit too much chocolate, because I can't really tell how good the caramel is. I tried 2 brands of small-batch caramels, and the list of ingredients gave me a couple of hints that I took to make my home made caramels better than any of the store boughts. I was surprised that they all used dark corn syrup to get the caramel flavor, instead of caramelizing cane sugar.

Amazing for a store bought candy. We first tasted these when we purchased a small box of 4 pieces in the Cracker Barrel gift shop. It was EXPENSIVE. So, I found the exact product at Amazon in large containers. They are always fresh and delicious. BUT ... because they bump around within the container, the salt comes off a bit. Still great tasting. BUT, they don't look "pristine." Because of this, I have been reluctant to gift a small bag of these treats. They look a bit beat up (size remains perfect). I've given them to close friends and family ... and the recipient ALWAYS has a disappointed and/or confused look. As if, the carmels were old and have that white film on the chocolate. BONUS: We now just keep them all for ourselves...it is just cosmetics.

I love these. They are my favorite chocolate caramels. My complaint is this: bloom. I know bloom is something that happens to chocolate over time, and these are not near their expiration date, but I could never share these with anyone. I couldn’t put them on a charcuterie tray or out for a friend. They look awful. They taste great.

I have purchased these from warehouse stores and they were always fresh and delicious! When I received these through the mail the chocolates got tossed around and mangled (not packaged with enough padding). Along with the chocolates being banged up and crumbly they were covered in a white film (maybe they are old) and hard. I guess I will just make the extra trip to the warehouse store.

This Sanders Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel is absolutely delicious. Very rich dark chocolate and chewy, tasty caramel with sea salt. Decadent and very enjoyable.

Really yummy, just enough salt to add a wonderful taste over all. I’m not sure, having read a lot of the reviews, if people don’t realize that the discoloration of the chocolates isn’t because the chocolate is old but because the pieces are tossed in a container freely and they have sea salt on top so as they’re moving around in the container the salt will become powder and shade the chocolate giving them that look that freaks so many people out. If you care what the pieces look like, you’d be better off grabbing a box of chocolates so they each have their own homes. They’ll look pretty if that’s what’s most important to you, otherwise enjoy these because they are quite delicious. :)

Perfect chocolate, caramel, and a hint of salt.

These are yummy, but the canister was either josalled during transport because the chocolate looks grayish instead of being just a dark chocolate. I had a small package at Xmas time that was perfect.

Delicious!! Someone gave me a jar for Christmas and I have made 2 purchases since. My friend had some and wanted more. She was upset when I ate all I had before she could visit again.

These candies are so delicious. If you love dark chocolate and chewy toffee, you will love these. One is enough to satisfy most people. But honestly it takes some will power to resist eating them quickly.

The product was OLD. Even if the best before date is February 25, 2027 The chocolate was flaky and tasted rancid I have had these chocolates before and enjoyed them, however these particular packages where not up to the minimum standard for Sanders products I intended to give them as gifts but will have to throw them out
