Update! I have had this pillow mask for a week now and wanted to add to my review. I added some rose oil to the one that was for my mom for her birthday and she loved it. However, for mine I tried something new. I opened up the zippers and put a drop each of rosemary oil, bulgarian rose oil, peppermint oil (and a drop of lavender oil if the buds start to fade, but I haven't had that happen yet) and I had to share this recipe because it was not only relaxing but also invigorating. Just ten minutes of wearing it and breathing in the aromatherapy and I felt brand new! Like I hadn't been kept up all night by my toddler ;) I can't recommend trying this enough. I love how customizable this eye pillow is and how you can open it up and add more aromas to it. You can keep it simple by just using the lavender buds or you can ad any combination of oils or herbs that help you. Rosemary, rose, peppermint and lavender just go really well together and restored my zapped energy. It even felt refreshing to my eyes after the air finally hit them again when I was finished wearing it.Original review: This is everything I looked for in a lavender eye pillow and more! I almost purchased one that would have been a huge mistake. It wasn't refillable, didn't have straps and wasn't made of real silk! I lay on my side on the couch so I needed one that wouldn't fall off of my face. I am so, so glad that I saw this one in the "Customers who looked at this item also..." section because this is exactly what I wanted! I would have been pleased enough if it was real silk, refillable and had straps. But it is so much more than that.Not only does the silk outer part have a tiny little zipper to change filling, but they also included yet another zippered pouch inside which is made of muslin(sp?). On top of that, they included 3 freebies! The gel eye mask will be so soothing for my headaches and when I am hot. Also came with a bag of extra lavender buds AND a bag of extra flax seed, that way you can adjust the weight AND smell. Although the product itself smells perfectly strong enough so I don't need to put the extra in, I will happily use it when the smell starts to fade and whatnot. The strap is soft, adjustable and comfortable. The smell is perfect and exactly what I wanted. Another thing I thought was cool is that the straps that come with the gel eye patch are removeable, so you can either wear it by itself or remove the straps and put it in the silk casing. Too cool.I had an issue with the shipping but I found out today it was on the end of USPS who did not scan the item when they received it, so my tracking number only said a shipping label was created and USPS was waiting on my order. After several days, I thought the package was lost or forgotten in an Amazon warehouse. I emailed both the seller and amazon and they were both super helpful, especially Asutra. Asutra offered to send me one directly since they didn't know what was going on at the Amazon warehouse/USPS and it had been an entire week since I placed the order. They really, really love and care about their customers. Amazon was nice and offered a refund but I told them no, I'd prefer the item and they said they'd follow up in 3 days. Well they checked my tracking right before it finally registered as in my town and gave me a full refund as they thought the item was still lost. I tried to email them back in time to stop the refund since it was no longer lost, but the refund went through. They emailed me back saying not to worry about it, it was for my inconvenience and to keep the item.I am currently trying to get a hold of the seller via email to offer them the money I got refunded from Amazon. I have no desire to have this item for free as I feel Asutra should be paid for their product and their customer service to me. Plus since they offered to send me another while the original item was lost I really, really don't want to have TWO of these eye pillows for free if they happen to have sent the second one.. I want them to have their money. Sure, it was a bit worrisome not knowing where my purchase was over a week after I ordered it, but they(the seller and amazon) have more than made up for the inconvenience of that. No email back, yet, but I do hope to hear from them soon so I can settle this with them!I plan on using this product 1. during restorative yoga poses at the end of my yoga sessions, 2. during meditation, 3. for headaches & congestion, and 4. to block the light because I often have to sleep during days when my toddler keeps me up all night. It's so hard to get in a nap when the sun is glaring through my curtain into my face.I will 100% buy from this seller again. If this is their only product(I haven't checked, yet) I will buy more of these as gifts for my friends and family. I think everyone can benefit from this soft, versatile and amazing eye pillow. (Edit: Okay so they do have other products! They have yoga mat cleaning sprays, soaps, pain relieving cream and stuff like that. I am going to try their yoga mat cleaning spray and their energizing soap bar next! It looks like their other products also come with freebies, like the mat spray comes with a cleaning towel and the soap comes with a case)Enclosed are just a couple of the restorative poses I plan to use this product with.

Ok, so I've been a huge fan of satin eye pillows that are filled with flax or rice or sand, whatever, with Lavender scent for decades. I get migraines, and my sinuses are jerks every time the weather changes. The cool comfort of an eye pillow and the scent of lavender really helps ease my pain while I wait for meds to work. This eye pillow is the cream of the crop, way better than any others I've had over the years, here's why; Firstly, the STRAP! None of the other ones I've had were able to be fastened to my head.Secondly, the zipper on the pillow itself, to be able to add/remove any stuffing and buds of lavender is a great idea!Thirdly, the additional flax seeds & buds are a really nice touch, so you can adjust the weight/firmness/scent of the pillow.Fourth, the quality of the fabric is lovely, soft, silky, seems heavy weight, there are never any seeds or anything poking through, and the zipper is not in a position that I ever feel it on my face. The adjustable part of the strap has never been caught in my long hair or anything either. And it stays put on my face without the strap needing to be excessively tight, even if my hair is pulled up and there is no resistance to hold it in place, it stays!I literally use this pillow every morning, even if I feel fine, when I begin to wake up (but it's not time to get up yet), I will put the pillow on. The feeling of it, and the scent just helps me doze back off until it's really time to get up. I know you can get cheaper eye pillows, and before this one, I got those too, but really this baby is PERFECT. Do yourself the favor and get it. If you don't love this thing, then you don't love eye pillows. :) I know this is a lot of droning on and high praise for something so simple, but I genuinely love it THIS much.

Many years ago, I’ve made some silk eye pillow Xmas presents for my family members with the exact ingredients, flaxseed and lavender flowers. I also used beautifully soft silk material, like this one. Everyone loved it. I had since lost and missed mine... then saw this on Amazon and decided to try it.The cardboard box it arrived in was nice, yet simply designed. Inside was the filled eye pillow, a small, flat hot/cold plastic gel eye pack, and two little packages filled with extra lavender and flaxseed. The pillows were already filled perfectly and I like how we can unzip both the silk and the white inner pouch to remove or fill with more flowers or seeds based on our preference. It was well sewn, and looked and smelled wonderful!The black head band was relatively comfortable to wear, but because its location is right at the corner of my eyes, it tends to press the pillow down into my eyes too firmly. Loosening the band is not a solution to this problem, because then it falls off my head, especially when laying on my side, which is the only time i would use the headband.In addition, the pillow is lined with piping, which is attractive, but because the loops of the eye shape lay too low on my face, this causes the piping to press onto the bridge of my nose, leaving a deep impression that would take 30 mins to go away. For this reason, I could never use it for those quick 10 minute “cat naps” and plan to see anyone afterwards!Perhaps my greatest dissatisfaction of this beautiful product is the SHAPE. while it looks sensible, it’s simply is not as comfortable as a solid, more traditional rectangular shape. All to often I struggle with too much of the insides shifting to one eye, and it just doesn’t compare. I believe if it was a solid rectangle (even with slightly rounded corners), the attractive (but problematic) piping would not have left strong indentations on my nose. In addition, if the band tapered wider or attached to the pillow in the shape of a sideways “Y,” it’s possible the band could be also more effective and comfortable (no pressure directly on the eyes).Bottom line, I kept the pillow because there were no other pure silk options out there... and this is truly a well made product! And this past Xmas, I also bought several other brands on Amazon, which I checked out and will be posting reviews for soon. You’re probably thinking I should have done a video comparison, huh! I like both products especially the eye mask. I would recommend both products

First impressions... I was a little off put by the overwhelming smell of lavender, but the smell has subsided. Love that you can add or take away as much as you like to personalize it. Also like the size of it so that it blocks out all the light. I've only had it for a short time, but so far, am liking it. Hopefully it lasts and get lots of use out of it.

It was purchased as a Christmas gift.

Since the beads are loose in the eye mask, if you're a side sleeper you might find it a bit uncomfortable as the beads gather on one end. I was hoping it would be more comfortable than it is, but unfortunately the eye mask just doesn't work for me. The neck wrap is great though!

I am always looking for a good full-dark sleep mask. The best I've had is the original Bucky (not the now original Bucky because the quality is inferior) so I was excited to read all the positive reviews and give this one a try.I use this as a sleep mask and, for the most part, it is great so first the good:- solid weight (I like being able to add or subtract the flax seeds, as needed).- stays in place- light blocking- very comfortable (except for metal bit, see below)The user preference:- it turns out I'm not a huge fan of lavender and I found the scent overpowering. I was able to solve this by taking out the filling, sifting out the lavender from the flax seeds and then adding in some of the extra flax seeds to maintain the weight and volume. It was very easy to wash and now I am lavender scent free. I would suggest to the company they consider a non-lavender option).The bad:- there is a metal clasp (look at my photo) that sits directly over the top of my ear. As far as I can tell it has no purpose (the adjustment is on the other side. This metal clasp digs into the thin layer of ear and I wake up with scrapes and bruises on my upper ear area. I've (temporarily) solved the problem by stuffing some fabric under it when I sleep but this is the reason I can't give 5 stars and almost gave 3 stars.
